Hello, I am now undertaking refitting 'new' (2nd hand) Sliding door seals, and does anyone know, or can provide photos, of the correct orientation? There is quite a lot of contrasting information regarding the 5-inch flap section on one of the upright sections of the seal - I have seen it placed at ...
Aye a little sealer would be good, welding a wee plate in would be better. No hole in the first place, best! There should be a rubber grommet on the inside of the b pillar to add a spray of waxoyl/your choice of rust preventer after the hole is sealed Hi Roger, So I have been advised I could leave ...
Hi RogerT, So that is a photo taken from lay on my back under the Van, looking up at the underside of the front jacking point. The black fabric is my jeacket sleeve, trying to keep the bright sky from bleaching the photograph. The hole is where the front wing/B-post repair panel meets the floor se...
Its quite a relief to hear the B-pillar looks fine. Yes, I'm not very happy with the shape of either sliding door lower panels.. But the bodyshop say its fine and correct, and short of paying them to do it again there isn't much to be done about it I guess? :-( The front door can be raised though yo...
Apologies - JP = Jacking point! got it Here are photos of both sides. Both B-post were rebuilt, but its only the OS door (which was also repaired) which is not closing correctly
Thanks for your reply. Can you confirm what hole I'm looking for sorry? What is the Front JP?
I have photos, yes, I can post what I have another time when I have access to my Hard drive
So the lower B-post was repaired and rebuilt, but not up as high as the strike plate. Front arch replaced (also just discovered a gaping hole behind this where it should meet the front jacking point...) Cab step and lower A-post, again not as high as the hinges though. Repairs made to the bottom o...
And finally, the cab door. It looks to be too far toward the front of the Van?... New seals, but I don't think they can cause as much trouble as I am having closing it. Do I loosen the bolts and try to get better closure, or adjust the strike plate somehow? https://i.imgur.com/y3npQz4.jpg https://...
OS sliding door photos... Looks to tuck in a lot more at the bottom than the other side... Again, maybe dodgy repair work, or could it be adjustment? https://i.imgur.com/W5F2IJE.jpg https://i.imgur.com/cGBxiPO.jpg https://i.imgur.com/wdGfshe.jpg https://i.imgur.com/6nKZh0G.jpg https://i.imgur.com/P...
NS sliding door photos to follow. The lower bracket looks like it could allow upward movement, but the topr roller seems to be fouling in the runner (and looks very wonky!) https://i.imgur.com/BiXhvSR.jpg https://i.imgur.com/R9ejuaR.jpg https://i.imgur.com/1l1gZ1f.jpg https://i.imgur.com/H0VOC8r.jp...
Ah, too low? Ok cool. Do you think a lot too low, or just a smidge? I think I can adjust that with the allen bolts on the door part of the lower bracket, correct? I guess i need also to adjust the top bracket to allow the upward movement? Here is a photo from the workshop of her side on. Are the...
Here is the NS sliding door. You can see the bottom section is sticking out quite a lot.. It is the same on the OS. Sorry, I can get better photos if needed, but at the minute she's somewhat covered in snow!
