I don't know ! Thanks for replying. It's certainly very annoying particularly having replaced parts and spent time and money on something which didn't need doing. I didn't think they were worn as the wheel rotated smoothly .. no horrible noises... I am still wondering about the splines though becaus...

My T25 1979 failed its mot because of slight play in the rear offside wheel... the garage said it aas bearings. Having replaced them it is exactly the same so I suspect play in the splines ... has anyone else had this experience?
