I guess the only thing i'm not sure on is engine mounts, does anyone have any views?

Well, as an update, i bought an AAZ from B-Parts. It came on time with full tracking and looks good inside. They say it has 130k on the clock. They also gave me the reg number once i'd paid (on the 'certificate de destruction' :) but its impossible to formally check mileage in portugal without resid...

Just had an email back from Desguaces, the Spanish one, and they're not willing to identify the source vehicle so you're entirely reliant on their word for how many miles its done. 

Does anyone have any experience/ views about importing older engines from the Spanish/ Lithuanian vendors on ebay? 
They have good ratings, not easy to take back though 

Thank you for the advice. I don't think the headlights are right so I'll start there with a new loom. Hopefully it will sort it, it would be great to not be constantly losing battery power (we've tried testing for a drain but can't find anything).

Thanks Aidan that all sounds like good advice. It seems a shame not to get the extra 5mph out of it (upto 65) for fear of over-revving. I'll consider the tyre upgrade.

I'm looking to push up to a cruise of 65 with less revving (on the flat obviously ).

Is it worth doing/ any downsides?
 

Thanks for the advice on here. On reflection i think i'm going to go for the autotherm and try and put it under the passenger seat (in a box under the van outside). Hopefully there'll be room.

I've got the same dilemma but looking at a cheap option as can't see what you're paying for with the premium models. Thanks for the advice and links. I'm in Newcastle upon Tyne so it would be a courier for anything off the south coast/ wales. Still worth considering as the Reimo one appears to be Germany only and is pricey.
