Ok have found out that Aircooled mechanical fuel pumps are obsolete!!!! Apparantly best bet is to fit an electric one instead. Any ideas on how to do this or where I might find a guide on how to do it. I have 3 days otherwise I'm off to bug jam in a Mitsubishi people carrier which is not something I...

I have a 82 Aircooled bus . I've noticed a fuel leak underneath my engine today, whilst working on another engine prob. Tracked it down to the area around the fuel pump (was dripping off the lower torx bolt which connects it to the engine. Immediately consulted the trusty manual and guessed it was p...

Hi all I have an 82 Aircooled 2 litre auto T25. Have had no problems and have used it every couple of weeks for weekend fun. Having been very busy have not used it for about 4 weeks. Came to start it and nothing just a click from the motor. Lights come on dash and headlights dim when I turn the key ...

Late sliding door handles on early doors.
Does anyone know if later sliding door handles will fit my 82 Aircooled van? I have seen a lot of later handles up for sale both second hand and new but can't seem to find any early ones anywhere. I was out on a cruise this weekend and got to look at a few later T25's and other than being slightly s...

fitting four bolt alloys
I have inherited a rather nice set of 15inch VW alloys. Does anyone make adaptors to convert the 5 bolt pattern on t25's to four bolt. If not I'm gonna sell em and just but some 5 bolt alloys with the proceeds but would be a shame as I really like em.

Body work specialists
Anyone know of any t25 friendly bodywork specialists in the midlands. Preferably as close to Birmingham as possible. I dont need any major work (cab steps, a bit of sill welding) but want someone I can trust and recommendations are always a good thing to have.

Lowered springs standard shocks
Hi all
Can lowered springs (60mm) be run with standard shocks. If so what effetc will this have on the ride quality. I really want to get my bus lower but can't run to the cost of shocks and springs at the mo. Any advice would be a great help cheers in advance

I have an 82 bus (not camper) the middle row of seats had been removed before I got it but I still have the rear set which I plan on retaining and probably converting to a r & r bed. MY question is would a van of this age originally come with rear seat belts. It currently has none and I need to ...
