Aircooled into Watercooled
Hi all, I see this question has been asked fairly recently and didn't get much of a response but here goes:- I have a 1988 crew cab (LHD) running a poorly 1.9dg engine and 5 spd box, I am thinking of removing the lump and fitting my 2.0 recently rebuild Aircooled engine and 4spd gearbox from my 1980...

Not a T25 Q but...
...a mate of mine has an LT35 (2001) and wants to stick a set of alloys on it.
He is well aware of the 'car alloys on vans' issue, but does any one know anything about these vans?
What wheels fit, I'm guessing they are 5x112 pcd but what is the offset?
Any assistance greatly received.
Cheers

Crank ID
Thanks for all the replies guys... Yesterday I did get my mic out, checked the journals and promptly zoomed over to the local 'commercial' VW dealer who checked on his little computer only to tell me that 'some' of the the main bearings are now out of production! I am a little unsure what to do now,...

Hi all, I have stripped the engine from my 1984 1.9 (DG) WBX T25 and found that the cam bearings are shot (lumps missing out of them!) Whilst i'm renewing the cam bearings I thought it would make sense to change the main bearings as well. I have checked the haynes and bentley manuals and they both m...

Oil Pump Removal
Hi all, I am in the process of stripping a 1984 1.9 WBX (DG) and I have got to the point where I need to remove the oil pump from the case. The haynes manual talks about using a puller threaded into the back of the pump body (after the gears are removed) but I can't seem to see any thread! Can anyon...

Engine/gearbox removal
Hi all, I have a 1984 1900cc t25 with a 4 spead gearbox. I want to remove the engine and gearbox as work needs doing to both. Can you tell me whether it is best to removed the gearbox and engine as a complete lump or the engine and gearbox separately, if so which one first. Also anything to watchout...

Single Wiper
Hi all,
Does anyone do a single wiper kit for the T25?
I think I read on this forum about using fiat uno wiper motors but that was some years ago.
Is the wiper motor mechanism the same as a golf jobbie?
Anyone got any ideas!
Cheers

I found it!
Here it is:-
http://www.thebusstation.co.uk/
it has been a while since I enquired so give em a ring.
They have copper lines made up but they can do a set of nickel/copper lines in a couple of days.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

DH, I looked into this some time ago and it wasn't really worth the bother, there is a company (possibley bus stop or something similar!!!) and they sell the whole set all made up for £80. I will try and find a link... the company was at vanfest this year selling the kits and goodridge braided hoses...

1900?
Louey,
I had another look at the van today and it is defo a diesel, it has it written on the air box on the LHS of the engine bay. Started up fine even though it was -3°C!
Can you tell me where the engine number is on a diesel engine?
Thanks again

Thanks guys for the replies...
I had looked on Simons site, the reason being I am looking at a bus that apparently has a factory fitted 1.9D engine, even the paperwork states 1900cc.
Thanks again

Thanks for the info especially on the paper work. The vehicle has no plates at all as it is not used on public roads and as yet I have not got to see any paperwork. I know it has a current mot as the company needs this for insurance! Does this mean that it should have all the necessary paperwork to ...
