Re: Gas Certificate?

You need a gas commisioning certificate for insurance purposes (you also need to notify your insurance of the gas modification), no certificate or notification gives the insurance company a 'get out' clause in the case of an accident/incident.

Re: attaching awning to van

Looking to purchase a royal traveller awning. Just been looking how they attach to the van. Anyone advise the best way to attach one to an autosleeper. I notice you can use a clamp or figure of 8 method. Got a 3mtr awning rail fixed to the 'Devon' pop top. Got the figure of eight option too....

Re: Anyone got a picture of beneath cushion behind the R&R bed?

Our westy bed is on engine cover too... and I wish it was raised. Great storage for tools and spares. :ok I raised mine to take 2 of those those wheeled 'underbed storage' box thingies, but I had to add an extra sponge to lie over the seat area when using the bed, to make up the height difference. ...

Re: POLL HIGH TOP OR POP TOP ROOF ?

Pop Top for me, they are a lot less noisy than a high top.

If there are only two of you, you can remove the ''upstairs' mattresses, then you'll have loads more space for stowage.

Not so much wind drag either.

Re: I bought something! Finally!!!!

The cupboard with the tick usually houses the Porta potti when your not using the buddy box system.

The gas bottles on mine are housed to the right of the ticked cupboard, on the floor with 2 drop holes.

They would be daft to send you the originals now wouldn't they?

If I were you I'd ring 'Jacks Garage' and ask them about it, seeing as how they did the last service and all. :ok

Hello All I have just purchased a 1988 Westfalia camper that I have yet to take out for more than a trip to do the weekly shop. I'm keen to take it for a spin tommorow and make a cup of tea in some random scenic Yorkshire Dales location. Problem is, the Camping Gaz bottle is empty. How do I get mor...
