Ha ha wow, what an interesting quirk.
Thank goodness I haven't messed something up!
Thanks so much for setting my mind at ease.

Re: Main beam turns on switched live!
Oh worth noting it doesn't prime the fuel pump, that only happens properly on the key.

Main beam turns on switched live!
So I've just discovered something very odd. With the ignition off on my 1990 T3 doka (ADY 2l 8v engine) if you turn the lights on and pull the main beam stalk, the stereo/usb/wipers work! I've had it for a few years and never noticed this. I recently removed an old alarm but it was only piggy-backed...

Re: Carpet on Doors?
Shag pile all over, good insulation properties, and a certain j e ne sais quoi… Ha ha, now yer talking! Thanks for comments all, I think first port of call is to see how big a difference the dodomat and thermo fleece make - I would much prefer to just keep door cards etc. rather than going mad with...

Carpet on Doors?
Hi All, Making progress on the Doka. Just planning the next job which is sound deadening and insulating the cab and then re-carpet. I'm not sure if I'm being a bit dull but where do I stop carpeting? I want to make it as nice in the cab as possible with as little noise and rattle but I'm not sure ho...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaqM8zUl04o Here's a blast from the past I'm thinking about the same thing at the minute and funnily enough that video convinced me to keep the front as the "lounge" part and sleep in the load bed instead since I'm 6'. I've seen some brilliant examples wher...

Re: Doka Rear Seat Upgrade
Thanks mate, yeah the body is like a battering ram. I guess my issue really is that the seat belt receiver is part of the new seat - meaning I need to make sure whatever I mount the seats to is structural. The original doka seat doesn't take any load from the belt so it doesn't need much to it as th...

Doka Rear Seat Upgrade
Hi folks, newbie here. I've got a crew cab doka with the bolt in tub but no rear seat. I'm planning to fit some modern rear seats but the standard tub really doesn't look up to the job and mounting them to the floor will be far too low. My plan was to use tourneo connect seats but build and weld in ...
