Re: Khyam Driveaway Sleeper
I've got a Khyam compact 300 and I wouldn't recommend it. It is a pig to put up, I have had to replace the poles as they snapped and the stitching on the channeling for the poles is coming undone. And it leaks. I was disappointed with it as I'd read good reviews of Khyam here and elsewhere, maybe I ...

Re: Awning for high top
Not Khyam compact 300, unless you enjoy getting wet and have a good supply of spare poles, in case of a light breeze. Whether high top or no, all awnings will fit to your gutter, either by figure of 8 or pole & clamps, so the world's your lobster. Just avoid the khyam. I had (actually still have...

Remeber this? I think a few of you bought one but I can't find the thread now. Anyway - quite happy with mine for playing itunes and having hands-free but I was trying to listen to the radio last weekend and it kept changing stations and also tuning in to traffic reports. I can't find the instructio...

Re: air cooled and water cooled comparisons
mine's a 2L air-cooled and I'd struggle to maintain 65mph , although to be fair I haven't tried. 55 is more realistic and getting up hills is fine, especially if I can get a good run up. No idea about mph, the fuel guage is a bit erratic, but I'd be happy with 25.

fridge running on disposable gas cannister
Got myself one of these for a festival last weekend: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Waeco-CombiCool-RC-1205-GC/dp/B00CITS4J0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I don't keep a fridge permanently in the van so was looking for a 3-way to replace my knackered old one. I was pleasantly sur...

Re: Mouldy spots
Dettol mould and mildew remover works fine on the pop top shell without damaging the lining but don't use it on the canvas - I've yet to find anything that will remove mould from the canvas without compromising the material, and I think I've now tried everything.

Re: replacing pop-top with high top
Sounds good. I think I'd always be a bit concerned if I just used adhesive though. Not sure if and when I'll get around to it but it's going on my long list of things to do.

replacing pop-top with high top
Fed up after replacing canvas last year only for it to be mouldy already, I'm thinking of taking off the pop-top and sticking on something like this; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-T25-SHELDON-HIGHTOP-ROOF-/151195834320?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3AVW&hash=item2333f957d...

Re: Curtains...facing in....or facing out?
Mine face out but are now very faded after a few years, especially the front ones where there's no window tint. For this reason I'd have them facing in if I ever get around to replacing them.

They look like just the job if you want to sell ice cream.
Re: Cooker
There may be another tap along the gas line somewhere. Mine (autohomes) has one in the cupboard just below the grill. As above, very hard to tell if you've got any gas in your bottle.
