Re: CB advise

no substitute for metal in the air. only way you can be effective with tiny twigs is to go higher in frequency. but you need to pass exams for that

Re: applying sound deadening & insulation to waxolyed panel?

I too will be getting my van back from the sprayers next week. I was thinking of using flash banding from B&Q or similar to soundproof doors, floor, bulkhead etc. A fraction of the cost of specialist soundproofing. Again not sure if it will stick to Waxoyl. Anyone got any experience using flash...

Re: New Ply Interior Panels

Thanks for the Rotherham tip. Only about 50 miles north of us so do-able. Do they have a website ? I'm covering my panels with the beige-ish lining carpet from Woolies though, as that closely matches the original hitop lining fitted by Autohomes, so would need uncovered ply. the finished boards are...

Re: Desperate - help and advice required please

So the general concensus is that it is not necessarily head gasket? I have contacted the garage and they are going to have another look - I appreciate the comments about using this garage but they did the initial inspection and have done various work so would like them to finish off. Pointers on wh...

Re: hitop advice

Thats precisely what I intend to do! My only worry is that the wife & kids dont take to camping and so then I end up selling it on pretty soon after buying/converting. Thats why i'm asking about values. Hopefully it will all work out fine and I'll be hanging on to it for years to come. you cant...

Re: Devon vs Devon Moonraker

if you do follow the link be sure to scroll right to the bottom of the page for the t25 1980 devon brochure. the moonraker is the most seen conversion, same as mine. easy to tell if its a moonraker because of the layout. all the storage down one side with a space inside the back door behind the war...

Re: Caravanstore - any good

nothing hard about putting caravan stores away on your own. and as said by several here that use them, they are stable if you tie them down. i had one but traded up for a used omnistor 2000. got it for the same price as a used fiamma, but its metal cased and self retracting. it also has the spreader...

Re: Help me learn what I should be looking for re condition etc!

We're getting a good feeling for whats out there now thanks to having seen/driven a few along with all the advice we've got on here - which has been a great help. We're going to save a bit more a buy in a couple of months after the summer I reckon - possibly a better time to buy. We're liking the W...

Re: Help me learn what I should be looking for re condition etc!

any t3 that you look at is going to be between 20 and 30 years old. of course it will have bits than needed attention in that time. if you have a rusty seem or wheel arch that needs fixing, the only 2 options are repair with filler (and new paint blended into old) or a new arch which can lead to all...
