Thanks both. Dash seems to be fine.
Just the reading over 90degs on the additional temp guage which caused me concern.
I need to run it up till the fans kick in or short it to check out it's still working

Re: 1.9DG... Interesting Tem Scenario.
Hi Steve.
Yes. What's confusing is the coolant temp in the engine bay being at 96 and the fan at the front switching on. As I understand it, the fan should come on at 85... Surely there can't be a drop of circa 10 between coolant in the pay and the rad in the front?.

1.9DG Internal Coolant Hose Diameter?
Looking for the coolant hose diameter that comes off of the pump housing as I'd like to put an in-line temp sensor as a sense check as the dash sometimes acts up... There are two day hoses coming off to the left of the engine towards the back of the engine bay which I believe to be connected to the ...

Re: Going to Cornwall...
So... Practice run. Siting between 55-65 in the M1 for 30mins after a drive 30mins to join and red light goes on and temp gauge shoots up... Van already has an additional fan on which is permanently on for maximum collage. I pull over and hit heaters on full and temp comes down quickly... We then co...

Re: Going to Cornwall...
Thanks chap. This is really helpful. I'm starting to like the idea of sticking where I am, but fitting an inline water pump along with my manually driven additional fan I've got. I'll get the oils switched out after summer. It's that horrible red stuff isn't it? I'm thinking the previous owners didn...

I'd also be up for any other option, but they need to be cost effective.
Looking for reliability with the auto-box and little outlay. I'm not sure these all go together.

Going to Cornwall...
Hi All, I'm going to Cornwall next year. The 1.9 wasserboxer plus auto will get a good run... But concerned about reliability so going to break our journey into two hour chunks... My friend has a 9a which we are considering swapping in for reliability and better cruising performance, but keeping the...

Sunvisor Screws...
Hi All, I've got some sun visors that I want to fit in the van but appear to have misplaced the screws. I'm aware that I need two different types of screw potentially and 6 screws in total. Anyone know the exact type of screws that I need to order as I prefer not to end up spending the best part of ...

Re: T25 Window Rubber
Ironically, I have just this afternoon fitted a sliding door and rear side window in my van. They are not factory fit. I got the seals from Phoenix Seals. They were very quick but I have also used Seals Direct in the past and they are equally as good. It was a total bugger of a job!! https://i.imgu...
