I replaced all the hardboard panels with new hardboard, using the old ones as a template and then sanding the edges, you can then spray it any colour you like with plasticoat or similar and it looks good as new. Did the same with the headlining only using birch ply laquered.

A pic would be really useful. I finished the rear of the van earlier tonight, It went really quite well. I just need to decide whether to run curtains around the cab or over the bulkhead??? Bodywork and mechanicals I'm pretty good with, but when faced with decisions, or colour choices, I'm lost!

Thanks for getting back to me, I was mainly interested in the cab, I have a half height bulkhead so screwing a rail to the headliner over the top of that, rather than around the front of the cab, is an option.... Might be nice to have the cab curtained though so I can store stuff in it when sleeping...
