Re: Headlamp Beam Converters

I haven't used them since 1978, the first time driving a Ford Prefect 100E in France aged 18. We're driving to Italy next month via France in the MX5, not even thought of worrying about fitting them. Slightly quicker than the 100E  How many European vehicles use them for the UK? Enjoy France....

Clutch claw still the best option??

Good evening all, after a quick search it seemed a few years ago the consensus was that a clutch claw is the best form of theft deterrent. Is this still the case? Thanks.

Re: Indication problems

Clean the rust from the connector at 3 o'clock - there is no way that the electrickery can reach the bulb there. Great shout mate [emoji106] I gave it another scrub after work this evening and it’s back working. The strange thing was the bulb didn’t work when I twisted it into the holder fully. It ...

Indication problems

Not had much luck today. The passenger side indicator stopped working so I got a new bulb from Halfords and tried to fit it. When I did so I noticed the bulb holder was completely corroded so I ordered a new one if those from JK. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210307/51349485e3453852b08ef9fbf93b...

Re: Clutch issue: spongey and leak underneath

Thanks chaps. All good info. That’s a new word I’ve learnt! ‘Hydroscopic’. I don’t think the brake fluid has been changed in the 3 and a half years I’ve owned it. Don’t remember seeing it in the older paperwork either. The same goes for the slave cylinder. Do you think I’ll be able to get at the old...

Clutch issue: spongey and leak underneath

Afternoon. Went down yesterday to jump in the van and give it a run as it’s not been started in the best part of a week and I noticed straight away the clutch felt really soft. The brake pedal feels normal. You can put it in gear with engine off but when you start it the clutch is still really soft ...
