Re: Front LH brake pipe T piece to Flexi
Got the flexis, hope I got the right one, need a new hard pipe flexi to T piece. Judging by the sizes quoted one will be 60mm longer than the other?

Front LH brake pipe T piece to Flexi
After two years taking it apart I am now starting to put my van back together 1981 Westfalia Joker 2.0l CU Aircooled 4 speed LHD. I took a decision to replace everything rubber under the van which meant new brake hoses. I really struggled to break the joint at the front LH chassis and ended up cutti...

Re: Radius rod Bush problem
Hi, I was going to start a new thread but have been reassured and now realise how lucky I have been in dismantling my front suspension. I had replaced all the bushes and ball joints and waiting for the steering knuckles to come back with the lower ball joints pressed in by my local garage. The radiu...

Re: Caravan Wheels for VW T25
Thanks Guys, I bit the bullet and bought five wheels and tyres for £250. Based on the earlier advice about the studs not being that difficult to replace I followed the Brickwerks advice and bought 50mm extended studs for the rear and 50mm conversion studs for the front, this should give 35mm of thre...

Re: Caravan Wheels for VW T25
changing the studs doesn't need a press, I've done loads over the years. Think knocking out the old ones would be ok as they are being thrown away, but the Brickwerks guidance specifically says do not use lug nuts to pull the new studs through as it will damage the studs. Guess you could pull throu...

Re: Caravan Wheels for VW T25
He has some steel wheels as well but the seats on those do not look like they are radiused or tapered they just look like a square edge!

Re: Caravan Wheels for VW T25
thats not enough sticking out you need more and i would say the tyres are to small really, are you just trying to find cheaper alternative wheels? I agree on the threads and i do not want to get involved in pressing out rear studs and pressing in new ones as per Brickwerks guidance it would make a...

Re: Caravan Wheels for VW T25
Caravan wheels take much greater loads than csr wheels, thete are only two of them not four and the basic suspension on a caravan means the wheel gets greater dynamic loading than a car. Have you got a source for this? Not saying you are wrong but it does seem to be a little counter-intuitive Got ...

The wheels i have found have tapered seats not radiused and are obviously much thicker, fronts would not be a pro...

Caravan Wheels for VW T25
I have found a local supplier of caravan wheels and tyres, (alloy wheels, steel wheels and tyres), tempted by a set of alloys. All the main parameters match T25 requirements; 14 inch, 5x112 pcd, 5.5J, >66mm centre bore, ET 30, 14mm stud size, tyre size 185R14C, wheels and tyres extra load rated 900k...

Re: Mercedes SLK/W124 15" wheels
Thought i had covered everything but then spotted that the bolts for SLK wheels are M12 not M14. As i just want wheels that fit without modifications i have decided not to purchase these wheels. Still looking at caravan wheels!

Re: Engine tinware refurbishment
Thanks for this info, i watched the video and was interested in your cool start approach of abandoning the thermostat. My campervan will not see much use in winter and thermostats are unobtainable so worth considering. I have lots of bits of tinware missing, i think i have all the top tins and the o...
