Re: Pierburg 2E Carburettor
Hi all, I'm still having trouble with starting. I've watched all the videos on YouTube, but still can't get the choke to close. Someone else has suggested that the vacuum lines should be changed, as if they are leaking it won't allow the choke to close. The only way I can get the choke flap to close...

Re: Pierburg 2E Carburettor
Once again thanks for your reply ajsimmo To be honest, the carb is still on the vehicle. I've not stripped it down as I didn't want the vehicle not to be able to move. Just that the flap is stuck open . I'm thinking now that i should buy a used Pierburg 2E Carburettor and refurbish it, so it'll be a...

Re: Pierburg 2E Carburettor
Hi ajsimmo Many thanks for your reply. The engine runs fine, just extremely difficult to start. I've Identified that the Automatic choke isn't working. What I'm asking.... Pierburg 2E Carburettor
Hi all
1987 1.9dg Pierburg 2E Carburettor
The automatic choke is stuck.
The engine runs ok, but difficult to start.
Is this an easy fix ?
Or look for a reconditioned full unit ?
Or an alternative carburettor?
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks....

Re: 1915 Dg 5 Speed 1990 Oil Warning Light Buzzer Of Doom
The mechanic suggested to use proper flush first, then drain it, then pour 10 litres of diesel through.... not flush with the engine running.... I've ordered 10/40 ENGINE OIL - 15W40 / MINERAL / 5L I'll not use the diesel to run through.... Does sound a bit drastic.... So there's no issue going from...

Re: removing hi top
Thanks for the other peoples input....
Sounds straight forward
So..... Cut away the lining, put it under tension, Warm the edges up, Cut from the inside, Have different sized timber ready & Hey presto....
Thanks for the advice.....
