Not found anyway yet. I have booked it into a garage in Builth to look at timing and points as she is being troublesome starting. But she does idle nicely now…lol.

I did explain to the garage that the ignition system is complex, so I’ll wait and see what happens next week 

Just a final note to say I got the plate adjusted eventually with a click at idle and full throttle. Fired her up and ticks over smoothly on idle. Will take her for a spin tomorrow to confirm all ok. Doh, the head has just sheared off the locking screw - what would you do now? Try and drill screw out and re thread?

I’ve searched online but cannot find any replacement switches - hmmmm.

Here is another angle, I just unscrewed it from the rod.

Got it off, hurrah! The tester now gives 0.5ohms on full throttle on the click, but then the switch goes back and does not the click for the idle setting. Assume it just needs a mm of adjustment. I’ve tried to loose the securing screw - the screw top wobbles slightly but will not loosen. Only got WD...

Bingo - connected the two pins, fired her up and she ticked over lovely on idle. My next challenge is to investigate the throttle switch now! Dusted the tester down again, no continuity at the switch on idle or full throttle. Looks like this could be the bad boy! How do I replace this switch

will try and short wires to ECU next - where is the ECU? - it’s a good learning curve for me…
