Re: Leak from fuel filter

davidoft1 wrote: 16 Nov 2021, 09:44 thats a fuel pump, check if its leaking from the pump or the pipework, if its from the pump itself it will need replacing, if its from the pipework that will need addressing, either replacing or tighten the clips

Thanks, its it a leak from the filter itself. Have ordered a replacement.

Leak from fuel filter

Hi,

I have just noticed some fuel on the ground under my van. It seems to be tricking down the fuel filter onto the cables and on the ground.

Any suggestions on how to fix this please?

Re: oil leak on front floor mats

As Aidan said, it is a pain to refill, have a check around the cap, any overflow will sit in the surface around it and be held in place by the lip of the reservoir, always worth wiping this area with a tissue to absorb any overflow. Thanks! It could possibly be from oil drip from a recent Steering ...

Re: oil leak on front floor mats

had you recently topped up and spilt a bit, it takes a while to percolate down and it's not the easiest to fill as the screen is where you really want the bottle and your hand to be Thanks Aidan, haven't topped it recently but just remembered that I had the Steering Column Bearing changed and could...

been trying to find someone to replace mine as I'm not comfortable messing with that , so far no joy!

Thanks, will take a look at the clutch master too.

Re: oil leak on front floor mats

I am no boffin on this subject, but if you had a leak and it has now stopped without doing anything I would investigate further.  If the vehicle is left standing for a while without using it there will probably be little pressure on the lines, but as soon as you use it braking, changing gear depres...

Thanks! Should I worry if the level is just the max level mark and the oil leak seems to be stopped?

Re: oil leak on front floor mats

Do you mean the one behind the clocks? It's just below the max level

TONYT25T25 wrote: 03 Nov 2021, 17:12 Bit worrying when you mention that all oil has drained out, from where :?: , what level does your hydraulic fluid reservoir show.

Re: oil leak on front floor mats

Took a drive this morning and does not seem to leak anymore. Could it be possible that the oil has all drained out? Clutch seems a little less stiff but drives perfectly otherwise. No apparent leaks on the pipes or clutch/brake pedals

Thanks! It was a faulty joint in the wiring. Working perfectly fine now
