Re: 1990 T25 Hazard Switch faulty

Hi all. I have a 1990 T25 and my Hazard Switch is faulty, I purchased a new one https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B006DHQKXU?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1 Which is the same one that Just Kampers sell  https://www.justkampers.com/161953235b-dashboard-hazard-switch-for-vw-t25-1979-1983.html ...

Re: Installing a CD or deeper stereo in dash

Sounds peculiar, as I had radio with CD players in in my 2 vans, without any need to fit any spacer.

Re: 1.9 Tdi upgrade , issues , solutions

Hi guys. I have an Autosleeper poptop with the 1600 normally aspirated engine. It was desperately slow. but I'm not generally in a hurry when I'm in the van. Only hills were the main problem. I would have probably stuck with the old engine, but on my way home from a 500 mile trip at Christmas, it b...

Re: Wireless Tracker and security for T25

You can place the tracker in any place which will not be easy to reach, somewhere that will take any burglar long to find. Use your imagination, as I will not tell anyone where I hid the tracker in my Syncro. For other security items, I wouldn't rely on a steering wheel lock. It is very easy to brea...

Re: Heater matrix bypass

Thanks guys for your informative responses 👍 The removal of the dash is quite a task which I’m not keen to undertake 😩 can I ( how can I ) bypass the heater matrix? VW Vanagon 1990 1.6 TD You can bypass the heater matrix from underneath the van. Once the spare wheel is out of its holder, you can se...

Re: Heater matrix bypass

The hoses of the heater matrix enter at the right hand, so probably the leak originates from the matrix itself.

Re: 1.9 Tdi upgrade , issues , solutions

There should not be any major problems with the modification. With the engine, I would recommend using a kit from Ultimate Engineering, which will make life easier. For the transmission, I would recommend a "TDI input shaft", and to use a dual mass flywheel. You may also wish when dealing ...

Re: Tyre size choices

Which engine does your T25 has ? Which transmission? Is it heavy or light ? I recently fitted my Caravelle with a set of 215/75R15 on 5.5 x 15" ET 30 wheels. Looks and drives very well. 2.1 DJ engine, 5 speed transmission, factory fitted AC always working when driving and stock suspension. I we...

Re: Re-mapping AHU TDI

There is a possibility, and another possibility on a different path. My Syncro has an AHU which was transformed to an AFN. The basic engine is the same. To achieve the 81Kw engine character, you need the Variable Geometry too. The turbo, the injection pump and the ECU were replaced. For the turbo, y...

Re: Running lean

The CO reading is NOT enough to tell the story. Before doing any work on the fuel system, I advise you to go to a workshop or even the same MOT station and connect the car once more to the emission test. Register the readings of the CO, CO2, HC, O2 and Lambda once for idling, and then once the engin...

I follow this thread every time there is an update, and appreciate the effort put into the development.

Will be happy to purchase 2 units once the entire kit goes to batch production.

Re: T25 servicing in Cumbria?

The lads at Kendal VW are excellent. Peter has had a T25 for years and they were VW trained originally. The work is of the highest quality and they will take time to discuss things with you if needs be. You can even get VW original parts (where available) fitted by them if you wish instead of after...

Re: 2.1 fuel injection injectors, share you experiences

Has anyone run the 0 280 150 711 Bosch injectors which are really for the Saab 2.0/2.3 naturally aspirated engine from the mid/late 80s/1990, again how did you find them, and which engine code are you running them in ? They are identical in fitment to ours, same resistance, but flow roughly 5% more...

Re: AAZ VS Air cooled

There should not be any problem to find spares for rebuilding any injection pump. It is a matter of finding the workshop master who is customer minded. In the worst case like I had with my TDI pump, you can find a used unit and refurbish in Germany, like I did, or ship yours and have it refurbished....
