Re: Oil query
Wbx engines without a catalyst must have oil with a high ZDDP content to prevent cam wear. I disagree with this, as there is no difference of the internals between a WBX with and without a catalytic converter. In the case of a cat, one must not exceed 800-900 ppm of ZDDP, otherwise the cat will be ...

Re: Oil query
But does it matter if the oil in my engine is mineral and I top up with synthetic? I've been advised not to do that on here and by the mechanic that I use. No. It does not matter at all. All engine oils can be mixed with no worries. I can't upload the photos of the oil container labels - I can't w...

Re: Oil query
It really doesn't matter if it is mineral, semi synthetic or fully synthetic. The matter is the standard the the lubricant conforms to. You specified the ACEA-Association of European Vehicle Manufacturers and API-American Petroleum Institute, but since Fuchs is a leader in lubricants, it will specif...

Re: T25 15” Wheel & Lift Setup – Tyre Recommendations?
A light T3 will do OK with the common 215/75R15 setup even without a lift kit. Other great tyres are the Toyo Open Country AT series. They are have a good grip off road, they are quiet on tarmac and sensibly priced. I have an excellent practice with them on my wife's Jimny for the last 6 years. The ...

Re: Fridge replacement
There are compressor fridges of various makes in the market. Just google according to the dimensions you mention. you can stick a flexible solar panel without drilling, connect it to an MPPT controller and use a leisure battery. Don't forget the split charge relay. Upon using the fridge, lighting an...

Sounds peculiar, as I had radio with CD players in in my 2 vans, without any need to fit any spacer.

Re: 1.9 Tdi upgrade , issues , solutions
Hi guys. I have an Autosleeper poptop with the 1600 normally aspirated engine. It was desperately slow. but I'm not generally in a hurry when I'm in the van. Only hills were the main problem. I would have probably stuck with the old engine, but on my way home from a 500 mile trip at Christmas, it b...

Re: Wireless Tracker and security for T25
You can place the tracker in any place which will not be easy to reach, somewhere that will take any burglar long to find. Use your imagination, as I will not tell anyone where I hid the tracker in my Syncro. For other security items, I wouldn't rely on a steering wheel lock. It is very easy to brea...
