Has anyone used Evaporust?

https://i.imgur.com/Ga6kW1q.jpeg Has anyone used Evaporust to treat old parts? I'm looking to get a trailing arm for my bus and the majority are secondhand and obviously have surface rust and are a bit gnarly (although I'm assuming still better quality tham current new parts). Was thinking of getti...

Three way fridge (Gas)

Hello all My Electrolux RM-212F three way fridge works absolutely fine on electric hook up. Following a previous issue with the gas ignition switch, that's been fixed and with the gas on, the fridge ignites and cools as you'd expect. Steady blue flame. External flue has been warm (at times) and you ...

Re: Identification needed please

If there was something, it's not there now!
I'm guessing that this *should* go directly to the battery?
Am I right in thinking that this is something that can be used as a split charger to the leisure battery?
And ordinarily, what would this be used for?

Identification needed please

Can anyone tell me what this is please? Having googled Anderson Power Products, I gather it's some sort of power source but no idea what it's for (or why it's there). The electrics in my T25 are a little sketchy in places (electric PAS connected to leisure battery!) and no sign of any split charging...

Re: Three way fridge problem UPDATE 3

My friendly neighbourhood mechanic took at look at the fridge today but decided against testing it by lighting it as the copper pipes at the rear of the fridge were heavily corroded. Safety comes first obviously. So, the fridge runs on 12v when can running and on hook up which is fine for now. Next ...

Re: Three way fridge problem

https://i.imgur.com/EXhhMzR.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/QCCxBd7.jpeg UPDATE Thanks to Mocki for the advice. Pulled off the bottom ventilation grille and found two earth grounding screws. Gve them a scrub with a wire brush but didn't unscrew them as they were tight on. It doesn't *appear* to be the pro...

Three way fridge problem

https://i.imgur.com/SLXhj1h.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/08TRcf9.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/P2NKHVc.jpeg Following on from my leisure battery 'issues', I've confirmed that the LB is running quite a few things you'd ordinarily expect it not to. That's something for another day. My immediate issue now is t...

Probably not right...

...but it seems that my ePAS is wired to the leisure battery. I'm assuming that this is NOT the correct way to wire it up? LB charge was dropping during a weekend away and the ePAS kept cutting out at inopportune moments (not fun when navigating single lane Welsh roads). I've now charged up the LB a...

Sheffield Bodywork

So... Coming up to MOT time and the camper definitely needs welding. Kitchen panel (lower) is definitely needing cutting out and the sill it's detached from. Most likely more once the panel comes off. Can anyone please recommend welders/bodywork services in Sheffield or South Yorkshire? Preferably w...

1.6td JX engine service

There now follows a series of questions which I couldn't find the answer to on the Wiki. My new to me 1989 T25 is getting a full service next week by a reputable mechanic. He's suggested that I source and buy the parts for it. There's a couple of things on previous service threads on here that I can...

Local Guru Needed

I'm new to T25s and my first bus, an 89 1.6td has clearly had the cowboys in. Can anyone local to Sheffield spare a few hours on a Saturday or Sunday morning to look over the bus and give me some advice and pointers please? I'm in the dark here and could do with some guidance! There's mild electrica...

Brake reservoir missing something

https://i.imgur.com/f2CZJPx.jpg Can anyone please advise what missing from the top of the brake fluid reservoir? It's clearly lacking something and brake fluid has definitely been sprayed about in the instrument cluster. I'm guessing it some type of cap or shroud that fits over the electrical conne...
