I can give it a shot. The reason I might just reposition the hinge is that the problem is that the previous owner did a fibreglass repair where the current hinge is which is now crumbling. I have a side elevating pop top and I need to replace one of the hinges . Is it possible to do this without removing the gas struts? Hello, Square and round bungs on your condensor.... :) I bet the green lead is not long enough either.... :lol: If you buy beetle T1 stuff, (113 part nr), because it is the cheapest, it will not fit.. :roll: Just saying... Thank you for all the information and links. Im starting to get the bigger picture now. Ill use the 009 to get me on the road but if Im considering a long term improvement... Should I go electric or just SDVA?
Any thoughts on why theres no choke in there also whilst Im here?

I was under the impression it was 0.4mm but Ill wait to see what others suggest also.
