I can give it a shot. The reason I might just reposition the hinge is that the problem is that the previous owner did a fibreglass repair where the current hinge is which is now crumbling. Replacing Pop Top Hinges
I have a side elevating pop top and I need to replace one of the hinges . Is it possible to do this without removing the gas struts? Thank you for all the information and links. Im starting to get the bigger picture now. Ill use the 009 to get me on the road but if Im considering a long term improvement... Should I go electric or just SDVA?

I was under the impression it was 0.4mm but Ill wait to see what others suggest also.
