Great, thanks. I'll get fabricating and try to remember to take pics as I go in case anyone else is still thinking of this conversion. Getting very hard to find a decent (reasonably priced) 1Y now though.

Thank you.  So you left all the main part/springs etc as is and just cut the end of the lever and weld a longer one on at an angle and then fabricate a cable holder? When I looked at the kit it looked as if they removed the top spring.  Did you have to modify the engine cover at all? Cheers for you ...

Sorry to resurrect this thread but I've just completed a conversion bar the throttle linkage conversion so I can shut the engine cover. Is buying the £52 Brickwerks kit (currently OOS) still the best option or is there anywhere that shows how to modify/adapt the existing? I might have a go myself bu...
