Re: Subaru Throttle Position Sensor
Thanks for the reply Aidan. I was looking at that site this morning but couldn’t find the right section - it’s a bit of a labyrinth! I didn’t realise how expensive they are - will definitely be looking for a cheaper version. Would be nice if someone does them in the Uk.

Subaru Throttle Position Sensor
Hi I’m looking for some advice on a replacement throttle position sensor for a Subaru H6 3.0 engine (from a 2001 Legacy Outback). So far I can’t find anything online - not even the OEM part number. Plenty for the 2.2/2.5l but nothing for the 3l engine. Does anyone know of an alternative that would d...

Re: Subaru Fuel Pump Recommendations
Thanks Aidan - thats a great explanation of how/why it works - it all makes sense now. I'll probably pop a cheap pump on just now to get it running and then go over the whole thing to make sure everything is in the right order.

Re: Subaru Fuel Pump Recommendations
Cheers totorro - that seems to be the way to do it (still don’t get why there’s a filter after the pump though). I’ll set it up like this anyway.

Re: Subaru Fuel Pump Recommendations
Ok thanks guys - I've never really looked that closely at the fuel tank yet so will have a check tomorrow - still just finding my way around this thing, one problem at a time. I've probably learnt more about the fuel system in the last couple of days than in the whole time I've had the van!

Re: Subaru Fuel Pump Recommendations
Perhaps I picked that up wrong from him - he didn't mention to put it after the pump but didn't specifically say not to. I'll have another look at the info he sent me. What is the purpose of putting the filter after the pump? I thought the point was to stop contaminants coming from the tank into the...

Re: Subaru Fuel Pump Recommendations
Thanks for all the input guys - seems there's a few that will do the job. Out of interest what are your various setups regarding inline filters? As I'm changing the pump I will do this as well. I curently have the filter before the pump. I'm getting different info from the forum and other people I'v...

Re: Subaru Fuel Pump Recommendations
Multsi - yes I've heard they're noisy. Will the bosch one work the same for the bigger 3.0 engine?

Re: Subaru Fuel Pump Recommendations
Thanks for the reply - I'll have a look at importcars. Just had replies from a couple of VW/Subaru conversion places and they're both saying just to get the cheap high pressure ones off ebay/amazon. I think they're a replacement for the more expensive Bosch ones but according to them they'll do the ...

Re: Replacing the Westfalia ‘BBB’ charger
I'm planning on doing the same - the bbb gets insanely hot and I don't trust it at all! I spoke to someone on here a while back who'd done it and he said that the Victron IP22 is literally a straight swap for the bbb using the original wiring etc. It seems to be what most folks do.

Subaru Fuel Pump Recommendations
Hi all, Can anyone recommend a suitable inline fuel pump for a Subaru 3.0 H6 engine conversion? The pump has packed up and I can't identify what is currently on it - no branding or numbers etc. The engine is from a 2001 Legacy Outback - 3ltr H6. Ebay and Amazon have cheap universal ones which are su...

Re: Westfalia original BBB charger
Thanks for the link Jeff. I've noticed that this is what alot of people replace it with. I found that the lesiure battery was very low and will probably need replaced. After charging it fully with a seperate charger the onboard charger is now running normally again. I guess it just isn't up to charg...

Re: Westfalia original BBB charger
Thanks for your input guys. I won't be taking any chances with it. I've used it for two years without any problem and really just wanted to compare with other people who have the same original charger - as I know they are prone to put out a bit of heat when in use, but generally they cool down again...
