1981 2.0l non starter

tried to go to work on monday in the kegster (2.0l Aircooled 1981). The lights came on, I turned her over but nothing. Battery looks good and I used it the day before, any ideas? It's not even trying when the key's turned and the lights don't go out.

I haven't got the lengthened studs so will probably need these, although now after reading the link I'll drop out the bolts and see how much more thread can be picked up. Thanks for your help.

Wheel fitment probs

I have an '81 T25 and have bought some mercedes alloys to fit. The bolt fitment is correct but the wheels on the back keep working loose. The fronts are bolt pattern and stay tight on the disks, whilst the rears are nuts onto a drum. I've noticed there are two 9mm bolts on the drum face that are sto...

I think we might get the metro into Paris as driving in sounds a stressful way of spending a holiday. Thanks for your info, I'll make notes of it before I go.

I thought that after I posted it. No, I'm trying to find out what it's for as I bought it from van fest being told it's T25, but it doesn't fit mine. Any ideas? Does anyone want it and would swap for an early T25 one?

Swivel base I.D

This base doesn't fit my van as it's just under 350mm across the rail holes, mines wider:

Solex throttle spindle bushings

My '81 a/c 2.0L on twin solex carbs won't settle to idle. I think it needs the bushings on the end of the spindle that opens the carbs replacing. Any ideas where I could order them from? I thought I would sort this out after getting my van fixed after it started firing on three cylinders. Turned out...

I don't think it is. It has holes for bolting in and no signs of welding. I'll take a pic and see if it's identifiable.

Swivel base woes

Hello, wonder if anyone can help on this. I bought a swivel base from Vanfest on the understanding that it would fit my 1981 T25. It doesn't by at least an inch on either side of the rails and seat, it's too narrow. I took the seat off and can't see what you could bolt through on the existing rails:...
