Grease on gearbox input shaft
Hi all, I've tried asking on Facebook in a couple of places, and looked through the forum here, but I still don't have a definite answer. When changing the clutch, should I grease the splines of the input shaft? I have cleaned bell housing, pulled flywheel, checked endplay, replaced o-ring, replaced...

What is the trick with 3x2s supporting transission?
I'm curious and I'm facing an engine removal. In the Wiki there is a mention of using 3x2s to support the transmission: "2 pieces of 3x2 timber pushed into the outer CV shells they will support the box at exactly the angle for removal and fitting" But I can't visualise what Laurie Pettit...

Overheating Question
Overheating question. I posted a while back about my bus getting hot with WOT in 5th at 45mph. I thought that was an isolated incident, but the last couple of outings with normal driving I have seen the gauge climbing again. Today I thought I would investigate. Checked temp sender voltage on Y/R wir...

Re: Engine temperature rising on full throttle
Tony, water pump was replaced last year, so I didn't suspect that. Ajsimmo. I pulled off and shut down then let the engine cool a bit till I was prepared to pop the cap. I checked the levels, had a think and set off with an eagle eye on the guage. Temp rose once shortly after setting off, but then s...

Engine temperature rising on full throttle
Temperature guage has always been quite steady, but today on a run I found that on a slight incline in 5th at about 45 mph with foot to the floor to maintain speed the temperature guage rose rapidly. I know it was hot out, but it's never done that before (or at least I hadn't noticed) any thoughts?

Unhappy noises from the engine bay
Sounded fine on start up. Drove a few miles to work and noticed a bit of a rumble as I parked up.

3 point seatbelts in the middle row?
Is it possible? I seem to remember reading that it was an option, but struggling to see how you fix them. My bus has a fixing point high in the C pillar for the shoulder strap but the only location I can see to attach the inertia reel is at the base of the C pillar where the rear bench base bolts to...

Re: Sliding door back edge adjustment
Sucking eggs I'm sure. Bentleys guide suggests each time you adjust you should slacken the hinge link bolts in the rear middle hinge and the link should be pushed up and back as far as possible, tighten by hand and continuing the adjustment. First adjusting the striker pin and plastic spacer clip in...
