Re: Dead in the water... all help appreciated!

It could be just the rotor arm in the other distributor that has failed.

Re: Rear jacking points shot?

For the price of a new cylinder swap it out. If it aint broke don't fix it, save yourself a bit of money and clean up the springs / adjusters etc. Copper grease or the likes to put the adjusters back in so they don't freeze up with rust. Rebuild them back onto new backplates then just stick em back ...

They are reliable assuming its been taken care of  Mines my daily and have no issue with it.. although I've done pretty much every job you can on it. Sometimes the carbs don't have a cone filter in them.. which won't matter all that much assuming the fuel line filter is checked / replaced on a ...

Re: Head gasket failure

Re: Solar panel question

Yeah they are in parallel.. currently. Annoyingly the cables are too short to pass through the roof gland so all the connections have to be outside.. at least for now. Weathers been a*** so havent been able to really see what the outputs are. My MPPT controller is rated for 30Amp max charge The rate...

I've thought about something like this for my van as the campsites we go to are a lot more natural than the hardstanding fields that you get.

Last week I trimmed the panels down a bit but still wasn't enough to get them to sit side by side due to the roof tapering. So got one in the old location and luckily with ...

Re: WBX water jacket leak temporary fix?

Not really no, you'd have to take the head off and get new seals on the barrels and the jacket seal. I wouldn't even attempt to bodge it

Re: Solar panel question

I use a Renogy Rover Li 40 Amp controller, usually fed by two 100W Renogy rigid panels. But the are mounted on a roof rack that prevents the fitting of my roll out awning. The plan is to use the flexible panel when the weather is good enough to need the awning. I suspect it will, if positioned well...
