Open the bleed valve on the radiator with it running and see if you get any air out of it. It should be hot all over when the engine is up to temp. Also check your heater, if that doesn't go hot or it goes hot cold hot cold then you got air in the system. so you'll need to top up the coolant.

It could be just the rotor arm in the other distributor that has failed.

Re: Rear jacking points shot?

For the price of a new cylinder swap it out. If it aint broke don't fix it, save yourself a bit of money and clean up the springs / adjusters etc. Copper grease or the likes to put the adjusters back in so they don't freeze up with rust. Rebuild them back onto new backplates then just stick em back ...

Bleed the coolant system, you might have an airlock. Unless coolant is coming out of the seal..
Without pictures nobody will know how much it would be worth.

Re: Solar panel question

Yeah they are in parallel.. currently. Annoyingly the cables are too short to pass through the roof gland so all the connections have to be outside.. at least for now. Weathers been a*** so havent been able to really see what the outputs are. My MPPT controller is rated for 30Amp max charge The rate...

I've thought about something like this for my van as the campsites we go to are a lot more natural than the hardstanding fields that you get.
