Re: Front passenger jacking point toast
Yes! Both front and rear. Unfortunately I found that out from the recent MOT on my van. Both rear JP's need replacing. :? Be prepared for it to be more work than expected to repair them. Once you start cutting away you'll more than likely reveal some unseen horrors! There's quite a few threads relat...

Re: Rear jacking point replacement and jig
I'm definitely going to treat them with something, was looking at some of the Dinitrol products for the inside. More than likely Dinitrol 3125, I'll be using the Dinitrol ML for the inside of the sills and cross members. I've got some Rustoleum paint left over from the respray, I'm thinking of givin...

Re: Rear jacking point replacement and jig
Thanks RogerT, I've edited the previous posts to include the photos. I've had a look at your Rustoration thread  , not sure I'd even know where to even start with that! Glad I caught mine in time, although the same can't be said for my swingarms. I can't believe the MOT inspector missed these...

Rear jacking point replacement and jig
Hi, My van has failed the MOT due to corrosion on and around the rear jacking points. After removing the trailing arms and cleaning up the area, there is more corrosion than first thought(obviously!) I've decided to replace both jacking points and patch the crossmember. I'll take the opportunity to...

Intake/exhaust valve order
Hi All, I am in the middle of checking the valve clearances on my 1.6D CS and need to know which valves are intake or exhaust? This may seem obvious to someone more experienced, but I have searched the forums and Wiki, as well as the Bentley manual but to no avail. I was hoping the gap sizes would g...

Re: Engine number confusion
I'm guessing because the van was in Germany at the time, it will be a German company. I tried the image search on Google as well but came up with nothing.

Re: Engine number confusion
It looks like the previous owner has made the same mistake when they imported the vehicle, as the nine digit number is down as the engine number on the V5. Correct engine number has been found, after a bit of scrubbing with a toothbrush. It looks like I have an 'early' 1.6CS Thanks again for...

Engine number confusion
Hi Everyone, I need a bit of help identifying my engine. I was under the impression I had a 1.6D CS, but after trying to find the engine number to determine if I had an early or late model I am slightly confused. I was expecting to find a serial number beginning with CS followed by a six figure numb...
