Hi there, is there an official way to check the oil level on a 2.0 air cooled? Specifically, should the engine be cold (so oil is sitting in bottom of engine) or should you run the engine and then let it settle.. I Couldn’t find any info in the Haynes manual on this.. Thank you for your replies, useful! I will definitely follow that advice! It didn’t have an alarm but the horn use to work. It makes sense what you’re saying I will try that.

Horn circuit weird fault

Hi there,

I have a strange fault on my horn. When I turn the ignition key to on, the horn works after starting the engine and engine is running the horn is dead.

Anyone have any ideas what this could be?

Reservoir under front, left wheel arch

Hi there,

there’s a reservoir under my left front wheel arch
that doesn’t appear to be functional.
Can anyone tell me what it is or use to be used for? Obviously it’s not for the windscreen washer. Here is a pic.Image
