Re: Heater blower motor
Thanks for the reply. Bought a new blower motor and left it to the garage. Disappointingly, radiator fan not kicking in, either. Getting that checked, too. Probably more important than the blower It temp guage is to believed, van seems more susceptible to getting hot faster without any obvious reason

Komet roof design
Ok, this a bit random. The luggage part of the roof on a Komet - i guess it was just accepted that you'd have lying water in it after rain and just need to rely on evaporation. Not any way it can drain away naturally given it's shape. Unless you parked on a slope
It's a great looking roof, though

Radiator fan
If just looking at the temperature guage, when should the fan kick in? When the dial moves beyond the centre? Mine seems a little inconsistent when it has come on. Odd time, thinking it should be coming on.
Someone said I should get a switch so that you can put it on when you want in case sensor goes

Heater blower motor
So, any movement through the blower settings doesn't activate the blower. Can it be anything other than the blower motor. When it went, there was a short time burning smell, say a minute. Could the motor be fine and it's a fuse ? There's still air coming into the cab, hot or cold, by moving the dire...

Brickwerks Wheel arch protectors
Hello all,
Anyone had these fitted to a standard T25? They seem to just go on without any securing with a bit of effort? I just see minimal blistering now under the paintwork. Would seem like a good investment.

Re: Rear door/gutter leak
Mine leaks at the near side rear but often bone dry when I park with the van pointing down on a pitch even in very heavy rain. Have the rear lower, then its guaranteed to leak/drip. Assume less overwhelming flow of water when pointing downhill. There's about an inch of the tailgate rusted away that...

Re: Garage space Edinburgh
Not sure about garage space but I might be looking for professional work done on panel and cab step rust in the new year. At least some advice, initially, on what I'm looking at. Perhaps target most important areas. Get some idea of what's possible at what cost. MK Autos, Longstone, Edinburgh 0131 4...

Re: Damaged oil seal
What you said, though about measurements/clearance/play, this might be what comes out of discussions. They are not referenced for nothing. These guys can tell a lot from just pictures. I was yards away from.the garage when it dropped its oil so bad as it is, could have been worse. Only went in fo...

Re: Damaged oil seal
WBX specialists. Very familiar with the engines. It is a later engine with the two oil pressure switches, one of which has been 'disconnected'- the buzzer of doom. I recently had an oil pressure warning and got the oil and filter changed and the warning disappeared. Perhaps filter was a bit clogge...

Thanks for replying, Maxstu.
I will ask about the set up. And one people look at the pictures, I hope it becomes clearer.

Re: Damaged oil seal
The engine was stripped down at specialists, a new fly wheel added along with the shims. The engine was then fitted by the garage I use. It will likely be heat melting the shims. As the whole engine has been away and back is it too simplistic to say it just needed dropped back in the van and ancill...

Damaged oil seal
Hi All I have now suffered a major oil leak twice from the back of the engine. This has been caused by the disintegration of shims which I can't even really visualize just now or appreciate but might have a better idea next week when I see the engine out. When you consider these shims are contrib...
