Re: Pilot/spigot bearing puller

I have got a blind inner bearing puller coming my way, so will be using that but if it’s like toffee and breaks then I will have me loaf of bread and grease on standby 👊

Pilot/spigot bearing puller

I am shortly going to replace my gearbox and fit new clutch. I’m wanting to change the pilot/spigot bearing at the same time whilst gearbox is out and clutch is being changed. Any recommendations for a decent puller to get to do this job. I have seen inner pilot bearing pullers but some reviews are ...

Handbrake cable bar fix

I am pretty sure this has been done before by some of you Old School Brick owners but thought i would put it in here for those that haven't.  So my threaded section of my handbrake bar broke when i was changing the rear handbrake cables the other day. https://i.ibb.co/44nqrMp/16-EF59-AD-AB33-4-B33-8...

Re: Refurb of Diesel fuel Injection Pump

Just an update, have inspected all components on this pump and its foobarred, there are too many pitted and worn down surfaces on this pump to make it back to life, so won't be putting it back together again, its going in the bin.

Re: So this happened on Friday evening

So update to this problem, I found out that the bearings in my injection pump had worn, probably due to an overtightened cambelt, anyway looking around on tinternet and happened to get lucky with someone selling a KY Injection pump that had only been refurbed 18 months ago, happy days. The bottom is...

Re: So this happened on Friday evening

That’s what I have just bought from someone, came from a running engine so will give that one a go first and see what happens. If I get no belt tracking I’m good, if I get belt tracking then I am going down the route of another engine maybe the 1Y if I can get one. Defo going to stay diesel. And I ...
