And all fine...for now. Oh well, the fuse box is now considerably cleaner [emoji23]

Re: Late Fuse Box Internal Wiring Diagram
OK, now it's open I see relay 5 terminal 4 goes through fuse 1, which had blown but looked intact from the top. Still an open Circuit between fuse 14 and terminal 4 but I assume (hope) it requires other components and wiring to be connected to close the circuit. Still disconcerting that fuse 1 (30A)...

Re: Late Fuse Box Internal Wiring Diagram
Hi all, a couple of years later. The van's been back from the bodyshop for a little while so I've been finishing off the wiring tweaks to be able to put the dash back in, and have a slightly odd problem. The fan override switch was working nicely with the exception of a noisy fan. Turns out the shro...

Re: JX Bottom Coolant Hose Problems
Thanks for all your help. Took a lot of huffing and puffing but managed to drive the crush inserts home and get the hose on. It still doesn't slip on as far as the oem hose but more than enough to seal and secure to the pipe. We will now commit to brass inserts or stainless pipes but this keeps it r...

Re: JX Bottom Coolant Hose Problems
Perfect, thanks. Will give it a try tomorrow. If one was out and the other was in I'd have guessed, but with both pulled out I assumed that was how they were meant to be despite the lack of reason.

Re: JX Bottom Coolant Hose Problems
Thanks Roger, I'll bear that in mind. The metal supports do go into the plastic pipe ~ an inch, and both have roughly the same length sticking out of the pipe. I did think of trying to clean the exposed ends up and drive them further into the pipe but can't imagine it'd be successful so would rather...

Re: JX Bottom Coolant Hose Problems
Apologies. It's an '88 JX 2WD. This is the new hose and set up. I'm afraid I don't have the old with me but will take a trip to the lockup to fetch it. I wonder if other people who have fitted this hose have cut off the excess of the steel support piece in the plastic pipe (last pic) https://uploads...

JX Bottom Coolant Hose Problems
Hi all, We bought this bottom hose from Brickwerks for our van, but on trying to install it there's an inner, hard support piece for the aux pump hose junction that interrupts with the front-to-back pipe, so it won't push over the pipe fully to secure on. Having a look now at options, what I think i...

Re: JX Without Auxiliary Water Pump
It suddenly struck me, looking at it today, that I had always intended to look into what had been bodged here. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20211031/4b56a3af28673ee9af2a9846095ead03.jpg Now I know what's missing its obvious. The 53 relay was still in place. I need to do some more reading up as I...

JX Without Auxiliary Water Pump
Apologies if this has come up before or is commonly known, I've searched but found nothing, or mixed information at best. I have a 1988 van with a JX and I've just realised it doesn't have an auxiliary water pump. Do some JX's not have it from the factory or is this a sign that its either had an eng...

Re: Late Fuse Box Internal Wiring Diagram
Thanks both, I'll do that. I've used one of the extra holes to completely rewire the headlight circuits as corrosion extended far up the original cabling and haven't wrapped and sleeved the loom incase I needed to add to it for this purpose, so that's what I will do. So, for vans with 'boot' lights ...

Re: Late Fuse Box Internal Wiring Diagram
Thanks again Robsey, will get onto that during the week. We've had a change of plan with another switch, meaning we will now use a HRW switch as you have done instead of an aftermarket switch to keep everything matching. I've done the bulk of the wiring now so it's only really this to do in the fron...

Re: Late Fuse Box Internal Wiring Diagram
Robsey, thanks for your instructions. I've now wired in the headlight and horn relays along with a few other bits and your notes have been invaluable. I have a favour to ask, would you be able to do the same for the manual fan switch you wired in using the stage 2 relay? I'm still getting slightly l...

Re: New Leisure Wiring - Asking For Your Experience and Advice
LP75 battery OK? We don't have a battery at the moment so looking to get the leisure circuitry working. That's what I've bought and fits under the seat with little room to spare, it's also what Mocki was endorsing further up. I am a total newbie on this so got a question for you. Have you got the...
