Re: Rust sealer and filler choice's

Filler prime paint is just a thick sandable sprayon filler that also primes. A few coats to build the level up, sand down so all level.

Re: Rust sealer and filler choice's

I bought a phosphorus acid converter from Germany called Optimal Ferrucid, I have rust around a rear window, I plan on using hydrochloric acid to remove rust, the wash it off, then use the Phosphate Acid to convert any rust not removed to ... whatever it converts to. Then to prime, filler prime, san...

Dynamat vs welding a rib across panels

I have my t25 striped out to do some welding of rust holes. I’m wondering if on some of these panels around the cab area welding a rib of steel across a panel would result in better sound deadening than applying a sheet of butyl like dynamat. Has anyone any experience of this? Having taken the dash ...

Re: Most economic engine?

A good (freshly rebuilt, not recycled) 1.9 should be capable of returning high 20's mpg on a run. The heavier the van, roofracks etc all knock mpg. Keep it light, stay below 65 mph ;) PS a sensible drop of 30-40mm and a front spoiler help both handling and fuel consumption. Not a lot, but it all he...

Re: Ditching gas and going all electric

I run 200w of solar (rigid panels not semi-flex...personal choice but I found semi-flex put out less power and failed quickly) on a Westy pop top roof. With 2 x 110Ah batteries that is more than enough for my needs, my electrical consumption is: - Waceo CR50 compressor fridge (brilliant bit of kit,...

Ditching gas and going all electric

Hi peeps, I had a large motorhome which I fitted 3x120w solar panels and 3 110ah leisure batteries. It was very good and I’m wondering about taking my new(to me) t25 1985 hightop camper à step further and ditching gas altogether. One of the motivations of doing this is having to register the van her...

Most economic engine?

Hi, I’m new!

There seems to be plenty of options for replacing the engine in a t25 (1985 mine is) but what is the best for economy and how does that correlate to the easiest to fit....or, what’s the best compromise?
Cheers
