Re: REV COUNTER
Is it an aftermarket rev counter? Does it have a switch to change from 4-6-8 cylinders?

Re: Clunking knocking sounds
Did you take brake calipers off? Could be as simple as caliper bolts not tight enough. Had this on a friends bus. He could'nt find the source of the knocking. I drove it and lightly applied pressure to brake pedal with left foot and knocking stopped. Similar thing happened on a friends Bay Window. ...

Similar wheels on my bus, I have 205/60-16 tyres all round.

A bit dirtier than yours but in daily use.

Re: replacement for Pierburg 2e3?
I haven't had to touch my carb since I fitted it. I have fitted a catch can though as I didn't want any condensation going into my clean carb. I blanked off the inlet from breather tower as I use my bus every day all year round. As for fuel economy! 😅😅 couldn't tell you. When it gets low I just put ...

Re: replacement for Pierburg 2e3?
Had to remove a small amount of insulation directly above the carb. Other than that it was a straight fit.

Re: Coolant Pipe Leak
Fitted a set of plastic pipes on my bus over 12 years ago. The steel inserts were gone when I got the pipes. I filed a shamfer on the ends of the plastic pipes to ease fitting into the rubber hoses both ends. Fitted without dropping the fuel tank. Pig of a job as I recall. Never had an issue with th...

Re: Can't Undo the Locking Wheelnuts
Build the end up with weld and then weld a nut on? Worked for me a few weeks ago. A Peugeot 308 with 2 extremely stubborn lock nuts. A friend bought the car without a locking wheel nut key. Tried all my removal sockets. Got the N/S one off with that but O/S wasn't budging. Welded an old wheel bolt ...

Re: Engine oil capacity
Could well be the wrong dipstick. Just had a look on common 1.9td oil capacities AAZ 4.3 - litres ABL 5.0 - litres AGR 4.5 - litres AHF 4.5 -litres AJM 4.5 -litres Irrelevant as they don't have the same sump set up or sat at 50°. The JX is of the EA827 engine family, doesn't matter wh...
