Did you take brake calipers off?  Could be as simple as caliper bolts not tight enough. Had this on a friends bus. He could'nt find the source of the knocking. I drove it and lightly applied pressure to brake pedal with left foot and knocking stopped. Similar thing happened on a friends Bay Window. ...

I haven't had to touch my carb since I fitted it. I have fitted a catch can though as I didn't want any condensation going into my clean carb. Had to remove a small amount of insulation directly above the carb. Other than that it was a straight fit.

Fitted a set of plastic pipes on my bus over 12 years ago. The steel inserts were gone when I got the pipes.
