Re: Rock and roll bed platform plinth.
Hi. I will need to make a r&r bed platform plinth over the engine bay cover so that my bed will sit level with it. Are there any diagrams ,dimensions or designs that I could follow . I have a full width R&R bed with platform above engine cover. Please excuse my crude writing on pics. Hope t...

Re: 1990 - 2.1 DJ WBX - Cutting out, but infrequently
A friend of mine runs a 2 1 dj auto. Had issues with it cutting out. Turned out to be a blocked idle speed control valve. Are prone to blocking up.
Just a thought.

Re: E10 Petrol
My local Asda petrol station rebranded all its unleaded pumps 2 weeks ago to E10 alongside relevant warning notices appying to pre 2011 vehicles. Assuming i am now using E10 (it does smell a bit different from exhaust) i can report no loss of power or economy. I use my bus every day with no issues....

Re: Welding Quality
Agree with above post, bought a gasless mig a couple of years ago, Varying results at first but then swapped to 0.9 mm wire. Huge improvement. I have many years of experience of Arc welding prior to the gasless unit. Practice, practice. Lots of good instructional videos on Youtube about Fluxcore wel...

Re: van mirrors
I have had Corrado mirrors on my bus for the last 12 years. I have no trouble parking or reversing. If mirrors are set right they are fine.
Just my experience though. Others may disagree.
Fitment was pretty straightforward.

Re: Carburettor
My experience of fitting a Weber 34 DAT was fine. IMHO far superior to the Pierburg. It has been on my bus for 7 years now. 1 rebuild kit when i bought it and it hasn't missed a beat. Just returned from 120 mile round camping trip to North Wales this weekend. Sat on motorway at a steady 60mph there ...

Re: Model And conversion help!
Pretty sure its not a Westfalia as its a right hand drive. Others can correct me if i'm wrong but i'm sure all Westfalia conversions had factory fitted windows. (with the exception of double glazing). May be a Reimo conversion though.

Re: 1.9DG with a Weber carb
Replaced the Pierburg on my DG motor with a 34 DAT Weber 7 years ago. I fitted a new gasket and needle valve kit. Spent a couple of days setting up the choke and tickover. Havent touched it since, starts every time, 1st turn, (daily driver) no issues at all. I personally prefer the simplicity of the...

Re: carburettor
Looks like a 32/36 Weber as fitted to many 80's Fords and also a conversion on the 2.0 CU aurcooled motor.
Not 100% sure though.
