Re: Intermittent Engine Stuttering
My van is doing the exact same thing. I've just stripped down the carb ready for a rebuild and noticed there was no vacuum in the choke pull down. I've opened it up and the diagram is torn. I'm hoping this is the issue! Only problem now is that no one has a replacement part in stock :( I've noticed ...

Yes it will start again straight away. It has a new air filter and I can't see or hear any air leaks. I've double checked all the vacuum hoses

I need a bit of help with my van. It's a 1.9 DG 1986 and its developed a issue with running once it is up to temperature. The is kangarooing/being hesitant when on light throttle. It's also cutting out when approaching traffic lights. I'm having to keep the revs up to stop it stalling. Does anyone h...

Re: Brake Drum Temperatures
If you are having trouble adjusting via the back plate the garage may have fitted the return springs upside down, which interferes with adjuster rotation. Learnt via a frustrating adjustment experience of my own! Have a look in the wiki at the pictures at the end of the page here: http://wiki.club8...

Re: Sliding door retaining latch
Did you find out what this spring was called? I can't find it anywhere and don't know how it fits on.
The air-cooled and water-cooled seem to have different versions

Re: Decent Coach Enamel (and where to buy it)
Lechler do a paint called Acritop. It's 2k and just cost me 125 for 3 liters of LH5G.
Our old van was also painted in this.
6 liters sounds like alot of paint for one van.

Re: Respray in South East
I did all the rust ( what there was of it) prep ( grind out seams and grit blasted, then epoxy primed)and stripped the van bare, all glass out, bumpers off etc just left the lights in so that I could drive it there. He did all the pretty prep, I prefer to do the rust prep myself so that I know what...

Re: Cheap door locks - key wafers
I've just taken apart a broken sliding door look and got the tumbler out so I can put it back in a new handle.
While I'm doing this I'm trying to get my keys waffer code. The waffers seem to be labeled a b c d.
The waffers on eBay are 1 2 3 and 4
Does anyone know if a=1 b=2 etc
