Re: Won't restart if engine is hot...
Mine does this as well, local garage are convic ed it’s a vapour lock. Essentially engine bay gets hot, you stop for ten minutes and the fuel in the lines stays where it is, over heats and turns into vapour. When it all cools down that problem vanishes

Re: Repeated Head Gasket failure
Sorry to resurrect this thread but.. engine running hot, intermittent red led coming on and off, what looked suspiciously like some kind of bubble in notes coolant tank.. bought a 12 quid sniff test off amazon and, its marginal but .. looks like its gone again. Engine has not overheated, sticker on...

Change Hall Sender without removing distributor
Hi I had a look at the wiki but couldn't find anything, apologies if Ive missed it - is it possible to change the hall sender without removing the distributor and knackering the timing up - all the videos I've seen online show it being changed with the distributor off the van but the local garage re...

Re: what is this hook for ??
thanks both. Im assuming that as it's been cut short it doesn't need to be supported by the hook ? Or is that something I should look at replacing with a proper length ?

Repeated Head Gasket failure
Hi So, about 3 years ago I had a recon engine fitted to my 1986 1.9DG T25. It was fine and then started leaking - back to the garage that fitted the engine, head gasket was gone. It was out of warranty by about a year but they fitted a new engine ( or at least partially new engine ) and charged me a...

Re: Door cards - very pleased
Bit of a dead thread but thought I'd add my question here without starting a new thread. I've got some panels from Delilahs and I can't for the life of me get the sliding door one to cling onto the van, the middle clips don't seem to engage properly with the holes on the door. I got the clips off of...

Re: Clutch line to slave cylinder.
So in then end - I've got a bit of 6mm copper pipe from the local garage with a flared end and bought the replacement hose from brickwerks along with a through connecter and brake pipe connection.. now I've just got to chop a lump off the existing pipe behind the seized union.

Just ordered some plusgas from amazon with the remains of my annual one month Christmas Prime membershipjrt wrote:I can't remember to be honest (it was a couple of years ago) it just came off. I'd ditch the wd40 and use plus gas and a an old toothbrush.
