How to fit RX8 Seats in a T25

FYI - my van is left hand drive and this covers fitting one electric seat to the van and one manual seat on a swivel base. How to fit RX8 seats into a Volkswagen T25 campervan! Step one- Take the seats out the RX8, which is actually very easy and straight forward, just a few bolts and electrical cli...

Insulation?

So, obviously the van gets cold in winter, would be great if I could keep it warmer. Its a Kombi so plenty of windows, but they are tinted so no real issue with it getting too warm in the summer. Any suggestions of insulation for behind the door cards / under the floor? Something that is not too mes...

Re: New card doors - Plywood, varnish and PVA

My set of full cards has arrived and they are perfect, would really recommend them. Great quality strong plywood and really well cut to size.

Re: Lets see your doors

4 inch speakers are not good for bass. you can fit 5 inch like this... http://forum.club8090.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=170482" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I've got my bigger bass speakers in the back, under the bench seat and along the wall (6''), these small speake...

Lets see your doors

Fitting new door cards (you may have seen my other posts!) and wondering where I should place my 4'' pioneer speakers (they are annoyingly hidden behind the dash right now)? Also wondering where I should put a new storage tray (rescued for bad positioning behind the gear stick) and some storage nets...

Re: Covering door cards

Forgive me if I'm being simple, but where are the holes for the handle, window roller ect? :?: I'm considering doing mine and am not sure if the pre-cut ones holes will fit in the right places! as well as needing to cut speaker holes as well!

Re: Door card restoration

I have a similar issue and am considering replacing the whole cards as I have found some mould and I am worried about black mould spores and my health when sleeping in the van... I stay in mine for months at a time. Did you find any mould on yours? and if so did you treat the old cards with any thin...

Any suggestions on a better clip as the ones listed for the T25 seem to get mixed reviews?

I am going for the Trim Clips (push fit) from brickwerks as I want a riveted look on mine, but they do the consealed ones too and in my experience all of brickwerks stuff is pretty sound stuff.

Re: New card doors - Plywood, varnish and PVA

Yer, I ideally don't want to replace them all either, but that is looking like the most sensible idea right now, since cutting them out myself is going to be alot of work and actually not that much cheeper as I need to replace the boot/sliding door ones as well. I imagine you could ask if they would...

Re: New card doors - Plywood, varnish and PVA

I used 4 mm ply coated with epoxy resin. Know anywhere that sells just the cab door cards in plywood? Trying to decide if to make/cover my own or just splash out on some new Jk ones but I suspect the Vinyl quality may not be great. I had a look at the Just Campers ones and notice they are made of M...

New card doors - Plywood, varnish and PVA

Ok, so after a lot of research it seems that Plywood hardwood is the best material for them. My current ones have gone mouldy and I am thinking a lot of varnish and a coating of PVA on the new ones will prevent this? and also hopefully this will stop them warping when they get damp as they inevitabl...

Re: Sliding door side rear arch repair

Hello All!

I have this exact same problem in my van - did any one ever find out where the water is leaking in from? I'm considering leaving a drainage whole to but would rather not!

Re: Fitting Golf steering wheel issues

Yer, I'm starting to think I might do the same, leave the wheel where it is and try to extend the indicator cancel instead, sounds easier!

Re: Fitting Golf steering wheel issues

yes it should be earthed, that is how the horn ring gets the earth to switch down the horn wire . you havent changed its connection to the steering column by extending the bolts, only its position. Surly the earth the horn uses is from the central column that the wheel sits on. If I remove the scre...

Fitting Golf steering wheel issues

I am trying to fit a Golf Mk1 steering wheel as I have seen it done many times. I have tried to follow the instructions in this thread - http://forum.club8090.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=86581" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - however I have a real issue with the horn! I ...
