Engine change over

Happy new year people. Camping last year and the cam belt went so i have a replacement engine out of camper 1.6td. Am wanting to replace gaskets seals and the clutch. What is the best and cheapest place to get the bits would anybody recomend. Any info would be much appreciated.Thanks

Gear leaver bellows

The leaver and bellows are goosed can anybody give me the best and cheapest place to get it from, as VAG will probably be costly. My van is 1.6 TD - JX engine.

Hi hammy44, it came of 1990/91 campervan (mine is a converted transporter) with power steering :lol: mine hasn`t so doing a full lock will be fun :) hope this helps

Great stuff, that`s what I thought as when I bought the wheel all I wanted to do was change it over (no bosse or hassle) and the guy reasured me that`s all I had to do. Many thanks Sevy :D

It was just a straight swop as the wheel came off a later model.The plastic sleeve is still there and has not moved, but as you say I also have movement downwards also.

Can somebody give me a bit of advice. I have recently changed the steering wheel over from the standard bus type, off a t25 (1989) to a later model more comfortable and a bit smaller. The problem is that there is movement towards the clocks, but if I put the standard wheel back on I still have that ...

That`s what I have seen on syncro`s and lt`s. So they must be a mod, problem is finding mirrors that will fit the 3 holes in my doors. Many thanks anyway
