Re: Oil pickup + pump

Hi.
When converting from jx to ahu or similar, do you have to swap the oil pick up and or pump? If so, why?
Thank you

I’ve swapped the switch and the light is still on.. which is worrying. The engine I’ve been told was only sat f...

Re: White smoke.... help
white smoke can be unburnt diesel or coolant. The smell is different. Unburnt fuel is usually symptom of bad timing or bad injectors. Injectors can stuck if they are left dry for long time. LR pump should be around 1.4mm (no EGR pump) or 1.54mm (EGR pump) lift @TDC If swapping injectors not helps I...

Although investigating the broken engine I’ve also found the cam sprocket was loose, so I assuming the cam sprocket came loose first which th...

Re: Recovered home
Thanks for the advice.
After what I’ve read yesterday and the state it’s in, I’ll start looking for another
Engine. I’ll still have a check on the damage as it could be a spare if it’s not
To bad

Re: How much oil?
maybe put in just 4litres and mark the stick andthen having put in 4.3litres mark the stick and then add 200ml and mark it again, that will give you low and cold full and hot full marks, drill a hole for 4.3 and notch for low and high is a good way of marking stick that many engines use Thank you. ...
