Nr 1 might be going reverse light or rear diff locker?

Have you connected the wire that goes on top of the coolant expansion tank?

Re: Colour for t25 Club Joker Hi Top

think the correct colour is l90d pastel white.

Try giving it a good clean and some wax like other people here are saying. Here are my before and after pictures using collinite 925.

Re: Solar panel wiring

If you are willing to spend money I think a dc to dc charger that's also capable of handling lithium batteries is the way to go.

Re: Solar panel wiring

I'm thinking if you connect the solar output to the starter battery it will open the split charge system and charge both batteries. But what will happen when you start your car when the system is open? Will it draw power from your leisure battery? Or does your split charge system go one way?

Re: Play in passenger seat

It might be. It could also be this you need https://www.brickwerks.co.uk/glide-piec ... unner.html

Or if you have the ball bearing type it might just need tightening.

Have a look before you order.

Re: Coolant Temp Sender Connector

I didn't find it. My solution is to put on a newer type connector (443 906 232) and get the newer type sensor (251 919 501 D).

Re: Damaged Valve Stems – Are Lash Caps a solution?

I don't know anything about lash caps so, but it won't take that long to remove the heads and change the valves. Valves is about a 10£ each or you can get used ones, a complete gasket set 100£ so it won't cost you that much if you do it yourself. Wouldn't be surprised if you need new water gaskets a...

Re: Engine flooding with fuel. DJ2.1 1989 Auto. Broken down in roadside

Cant get to earth on fuel pump though because of terrain. According to manual its on crossmember near pump? Is that correct? I thought the twin plug connnector in far right hand corner of engine bay wall was the only wiring involved for fuel pump Here is a picture of borrowed from internet showing ...

Also recommend you to order new bolts as they are normally rusted, brickwerks had them last time I did mine.

Its a good time to change your water pump when you are doing this job. Also remember to order the gaskets so you can take everything apart and put it together without a leak.

Re: Too high compression? Should I worry or be happy?

Did a cylinder test on a running 2.1 DJ 1#12 2#11  3#11 4#12.5  Guess its possible that the tester shows too much, will try to borrow one just to make sure/ I did start the westfalia and it runs and sounds just like I would say any old WBX set on manual timing and some small exhaust leak does. Drove...

Re: Too high compression? Should I worry or be happy?

I have used it before, but will test in on another running engine today.

I can only slowly turn the distributor, but it seems to be stuck in the engine case. Is that normal for a engine that's been sitting? Shuld be only the seal or rust holding it down?

Re: Too high compression? Should I worry or be happy?

Thanks for all your replays and suggestions👍 The seller is very honest, I even tried paying more for the car as I got it too cheap but he wouldn't expect. He don't know anything about the car history but he had it for around 10 years and used it for around 5 years before it was parked because he cou...

Too high compression? Should I worry or be happy?

This car (2.1 DJ westfalia automatic) has been sitting for around 5 years and according to the previous owner the engine blows white smoke and don't have power, but he is the kind of guy who thinks its okey to replace fuel lines with free plastic straws from McDonalds so the smoke can be from someth...
