Re: Electric’s issue. swapped 1.9dg to 2.1dj
Hello all. Thanks fro all the replies. Just wanted to share on here for those in the future with the problem, that its sorted. Much like most of you had been saying, its about finding the right wires. Being electrical diagram illiterate, I came across this thread that explains the whole scenario. h...

Re: Electric’s issue. swapped 1.9dg to 2.1dj
This may take a while ...... I have done a few DG to DJ swaps, but we always put the carb on the DJ . I suspect one of your issues is not at all connected to the rear wiring loom - the fuel gauge . Have you got the earth strap onto the RHS head to the body , under the coil ? Poor earth will definit...

It's a 1984 van, but seems to have the later cooling system.

Electric’s issue. swapped 1.9dg to 2.1dj
Hi all. My lovely T25 came with a fairly knackered 1.9dg. Usual head gaskets failure due to not being cared for. Was very happy to find a good 2.1Dj from someone fitting a Subaru. Engines all in, runs a treat but I’ve hit a brick wall on the electrics. (I.e I struggle to figure out schematics in a H...

Re: Accelerator bracket
2.1 DJ didn't originally have a carb it had fuel injection, sounds like it has been modified so in this case best to get a picture of what you have/need? https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=168842" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Ah, yes, sorry itchy feet. ...

Accelerator bracket
Hi all.
Does anyone have an idea where I can get hold of an accelerator/ throttle cable bracket for a 2.1 DJ WBX
Essentially the bracket that bolts onto the engine itself to accept/hold the cable linkage before it heads over to the carb.
Cant find one anywhere for love or money.
thanks

Re: Subaru conversion garages.
Thanks for the replies all.
I might give Camper Shack a try.
Id love to give the project a whirl myself, with the help of a local mechanic. Always like to try and get stuck in, but I just can't find the time to start this kind of project now sadly.
Wish there was more time in the day!

Re: Subaru conversion garages.
Thanks. I’d love too but just too expensive for me.
TSR do it for £3.5 grand which I can just about make work, but struggling to find anyone else to match the price

Re: Subaru conversion garages.
Thanks. I have heard the name Spannerboy mentioned in the forums, but trying my hardest to find someone in South East or Anglia. Seems other than TSR, no-ones prepared to take the project on sadly.

Subaru conversion garages.
Hi all.
Anyone know of a T25 Subaru conversion garage/specialist in the south East or Anglia region?
I’ve tried TSR conversions but they are understandably busy for months.
Any suggestions much appreciated.
Thanks
Jay
