Instrument clusters

I will be putting the van back together shortly and wondered if the instrument cluster can be bench tested prior to fitting.
Mainly to see if the coolant and oil gauges and alarms are working as they should?

i did the following.
- cleaned metal with preparation wheel.
- cleaned bare metal with panel wipe
- applied weld through primer (upol copper)
- plug welded

i still need to epoxy and seam seal

I think all the panels need some kind of persuasion to get them to fit nice, some better than others.

Ah the other end, mine flew out with hand tools without too much of a problem from memory.

An air impact gun was a well needed addition for the front.

The 14mm Allen key on the other side does not fully rotate it's for adjusting the Camber

The one side flew out on mine but the other side wouldn't move. Did you manage to get the nut off? I used a bolt and a nut to press on it (it still didn't move much) I think the key to it was moving it in and out. Pressing it out with the bolt and knocking it back in with a hammer to loosen up the s...

Front arch

I have rusty bits :roll: The front arches are in pretty good shape however after removing the underseal there is rust located between the arch and the b pillar http://www.chris-gordon.co.uk/Photos/1.jpg The one side needs some cleaning up from the swage line down but the other arch is ok. i think the under seal is mainly on the arches. mine has a waxoyl over the rest of the chassis which has dried in places and im in the process of removing it

Got the trailing arm off yesterday what did you use as a reference point for the mount position?
