What is the plan for Friday? We'll be doing some driving, or most people coming Friday evening and driving up the hills just Saturday? I am thinking about going Thursday, be there between 8pm and 9pm and find a park up.

off grid aircon and heater
Has anyone given this a try?
Battery operated AC and heater, if it would fit between the front seats I think it would be quite nice.

Syncro AAZ turbo leaking oil
Hi folks, Just had the van inspected for an oil leak on coming out of the turbo. Garage said that turbo is fine but it will leak because of the way AAZs are installed: the turbo is mounted too low for proper oil return. They said they are aware of an adaptor that is used to mout the turbo higher, bu...

Re: What size speakers?
Hi, these (see photo) we recommended to me by a sound engineer that works for film studios in Los Angeles. Note it is not JBL, but JL Audio. I had never heard about this brand before and thought JL Audio were cheap knock offs of JBL. But couldn't be more wrong, it's a very good brand, same level as ...

westy kitchen lights
hi, would anyone have instructions on how to convert the westy kitchen light into a 12v socket? light on my fan is factory original: not very bright, consumes a lot of power. My idea is 5o replace the electrics going into the bulb with a 12v socket and usb output so that I could plugin a usb LED lig...

Re: Best Engine to Meet Euro 4 or 6 Emissions? ULEZ issue
The best thing to do would be to get a 'birth certificate' from VW to confirm which year your van came off the production line, and then stick it out until it becomes exempt as a historical vehicle at 40 years. Mine was made in 1988, so not long to go. I like the idea of historical vehicle, there i...

Re: Best Engine to Meet Euro 4 or 6 Emissions? ULEZ issue
Hi folks,
any new ideas re. retrofitting diesel T25s for ULEZ?
It seems ULEZ expanding into Hertfordshire now, this is such a money maker for cash strapped councils that it may get expanded even further.

Re: Syncropendence 2022
Hey Aidan - if conditions allow and people think it's a good idea I volunteer to operate a barbeque. Bring some Brazilian skills to the event. Last time also discussed with Clive I could do a survival skills workshop.

new door and rear speakers :D
Hi - I replaced my door and rear speakers yesterday, van still had the stock Blaupunkt made in West Germany. I was never a fan of the "Blue Dot" as a brand for car stereos anyway, 2 of the speakers were blown out. I went for JL Audio - I wasn't familiar with the brand and this was recommen...

Re: Reverse lights no worky ??
I had the same issue for a few months, sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. I knew for sure that the problem was in the sensor, shorting it would make lights switch on. Removing the washer in the sensor worked for a while, but last week it stopped working again. Checked the sensor with a multim...

Special thanks to Paul and Aidan for fixing my reverse lights and the mechanics tuition. It was wonderful to finall...
