Re: little advice pls

So... I decided to do the engine conversion, I've been speaking with Jamie at J's Garage since December, but he's finding it difficult to find a donor car in his area. I had a look on autotrader a few times, but even doing a national search I also couldn't find anything. Could you guys please advise...

little advice pls

Hi, just need some advice on what I do with my syncro... A few weeks ago I had a breakdown, diesel pump had ceased. Pump was refurbished, re-installed and adjusted, costing me nearly £3k to sort out - apparently the pump wasn't standard for the AAZ engine and it was quite hard to get timings right. ...

Re: Adventure Overland Show - last one ever

not looking good for me. See photo... On Friday my diesel pump failed, looking for a replacement but it will take time. If anyone who is going does not have tickets yet, please let me know. I have the one with camping from Friday, paid £80 but can sell for £60. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240...

What light bar?

Hi,
Can someone recommend a good light bar? Just had brackets delivered for a 52 inch curved light bar, there are plenty of models on amazon for around £100 but not sure if they are any good. My van is Westy popup.

Thanks!

Re: Syncro Event Calendar

it would be nice to have a winter event for some driving in the snow. I always hear how great syncros are in the snow, but not many chances to put it to the test in Hertfordshire (where I live). one trip in my bucket list is the arctic circle in Norway during winter time. Re: Syncropendence 2023

What is the plan for Friday? We'll be doing some driving, or most people coming Friday evening and driving up the hills just Saturday? I am thinking about going Thursday, be there between 8pm and 9pm and find a park up.

off grid aircon and heater

Has anyone given this a try?

Battery operated AC and heater, if it would fit between the front seats I think it would be quite nice.

Syncro AAZ turbo leaking oil

Hi folks, Just had the van inspected for an oil leak on coming out of the turbo. Garage said that turbo is fine but it will leak because of the way AAZs are installed: the turbo is mounted too low for proper oil return. They said they are aware of an adaptor that is used to mout the turbo higher, bu...

Re: What size speakers?

Hi, these (see photo) we recommended to me by a sound engineer that works for film studios in Los Angeles. Note it is not JBL, but JL Audio. I had never heard about this brand before and thought JL Audio were cheap knock offs of JBL. But couldn't be more wrong, it's a very good brand, same level as ...

westy kitchen lights

hi, would anyone have instructions on how to convert the westy kitchen light into a 12v socket? light on my fan is factory original: not very bright, consumes a lot of power. My idea is 5o replace the electrics going into the bulb with a 12v socket and usb output so that I could plugin a usb LED lig...

Re: Best Engine to Meet Euro 4 or 6 Emissions? ULEZ issue

The best thing to do would be to get a 'birth certificate' from VW to confirm which year your van came off the production line, and then stick it out until it becomes exempt as a historical vehicle at 40 years. Mine was made in 1988, so not long to go. I like the idea of historical vehicle, there i...
