Just been in the workshop and it turns out that I had this pulley and the spring loaded alternator fitted all along....

for the record (as of the 15/03/2018) there are 6 of these pulleys listed as available new in the uk from vw. Hopefully only 5 now as ive just nabbed one.

£17.50+vat so a little over £21.

Hi just looking at your belt setup, how have you tensioned the belt? Is the alternator able to be adjusted? The AGG non-PAS alternator and bracket setup uses a spring under the alternator to push it away and thus tensions the belt. Ah awesome thats just what I need for mine, any info on what to loo...

thanks for the replies, I'd like to stick with the engine bars I have as I bought a load of parts for £500 to help speed up the AGG conversion and the bars that were part of that and have been galvanised.
