http://www.eastfilia.co.uk He means this place: http://www.eastfalia.com/ the guy who runs it (Steve) knows his stuff is a nice guy and doesn't sell lemons, from what I've heard from others... The white air-cooled Westy on there looks like a good buy for the money I reckon, but depends what you want

Re: Normal temps on fridge

Well, I know there are a lot of topics talking about fridges, so my question is what is the normal temperatures on a normal Westy fridge on its three different ways? I mean gas, 12V and 220V I connected this afternoon the fridge to 220V and after 3 hours temp on fridge was around 5-7ºC and on freez...

If you get a complete 2L with all tinware, carbs etc etc etc then its an "easy" swap.. but you may want to get the gearbox from a 2L too.. as this has taller gearing than the 1600. None of the 1600 stuff fits the 2L... You may also want tio check you have a servo assist on the brakes.. as...

Replacing 1.6 A/C with 2.0 A/C?

Is it straightforward to replace a 1.6 A/C engine with a 2.0 A/C or will many bits need changing?

Replacing normally aspirated 1.6 diesel?

Would it be straightforward to replace a normally aspirated 1.6 diesel T25 with a 1.9 Turbo Diesel AAZ, or would there be complications with this? Thanks

I guess it is difficult as nearly every van out there will need some cosmetic work to bring it up to scratch. Mine is solid just tired a little rusty in places and a horrible colour !! Is it ever worth getting a partial respray (i.e. lower body) or if you're going to do it, might you as well get th...

There is that option but if you want something different from the usual white ones that seem to be abundant on e bay etc then its an option There's a nice red van I'm looking at with virtually no rust, but it needs at least a partial respray really, lots of scratches and small dings... Am trying to...

I work in a bodyshop and am having my van resprayed in different colours to original. It is fairly irrelevant if the colour stays the same or is changed. My respray will include roof off, doors off and painted including shuts, all glass out etc. The body is fairly solid with 25 years worth of scrat...

How much for a decent respray?

Hi - roughly how much should a decent repsray cost? I know this will vary depending on whether would be a full windows/interior out respray and/or back to bare metal etc., but am trying to get a ball park figure. For example, how much would I be looking at for a good respray (original colour) of a v...

i regularly use stuff called Dipetane. Its a 1 litre bottle that will treat 100 litres of fuel. Its got markings on the side of the bottle to show you how much to put into the tank. Great stuff. Theres a notable increase in power and a huge increase in fuel economy. It cleans the inside of your eng...

What about an Aussie van, are these likely to be rust free? e.g. from http://www.gdaykombis.co.uk/welcome/index.htm?
