How easy is that to do? Im toying with engine ideas right now
I've read somewhere (not sure if it was the wiki) that idealy to do it you have to have a late DG as the earlys have some kinda clearance issue inside?

No chance, it has perfect studs and great oil pressure, I have a DJ conversion kit of crank, pistons and cam waiting.

My current camper, a 2.1 DJ with autobox and high top, is an absolute flyer. And my idea of going carb for easy LPG conversion is losing appeal. The digijet is so smooth I don't want to lose it.

I'm putting a fresh DJ on carb / LPG in the tin top this year so I will be able to compare.

Re: DJ 2.1 without DOP's oil sensor hole?

Didnt feel much swifter than the ultra reliable DG 1900 in second camper at the time. Could be they are MV pistons or could be something else like poor compression or ignition or carb setup that's making it lack power. My DJ digijet goes like stink in a camper that's maybe 400kg heavier than my tin...

Re: Anybody else oil here?

When I first had my tin top it would cut out while driving at speed then start again normally. it was random when it did it. One day it kept doing it while out on the road. I tried lots of things and finally fixed it by spraying wd40 deep indlside the distributor. I came to the conclusion it hadn't ...

Re: Where do buy your windows from?

dont forget to seal the windows when you put them back I use arbomast autograde

I found it best to apply it all around both window and van side of seal after the window was in but before adding the strip. You need the diamond glazing tool also

Re: DJ 2.1 without DOP's oil sensor hole?

measure stroke by taking a plug out get it to the bottom of stroke with a thin object ( pencil maybe) in the spark plug hole then make a mark on the object and bring it to top. then measure difference.

Re: DJ 2.1 without DOP's oil sensor hole?

That DJ has been put on after the previous letters were ground off, there is the remnant of a previous letter there under the J. This^^^ check it's actually a 2.1 by measuring stroke. also does it have the other features of a late case such as the B suffix on part number by push rod tubes? if it's ...

Personally I can't see why Speedshop don't acknoledge the smaller filter is a compromise and change their design.

Re: Static Caravan Electrics

has to be a maintenance free connector if you seal it up with no access, such as a wago 221 or wago 222 not a screw terminal.
