Hi Keith.....still looking at the mo, mocal do a sandwich plate with built in thermostat for about £40...of just get a standard one and it an in line one..their about £40 for an inline thermostat + the plate!.... not sure which is the best way to go?..if anyone has any advice?... 13 row oil cooler s...

oil filter size

Want to get a oil sandwich plate for an oil cooler on my 2 ltr Aircooled... what is the fitting size? Is it 3/4 or M20?

Brake fluid leak

Got fluid leaking from behind the brake pedal...Its a 2lt model. Had the dash top off and theres no signs of leaks there. It seems to be coming from where the return pipe connects, but above it somewhere..Cant see what above it and theres no pictures in the Haynes manual Anyone got or know of any di...

Hi Keith, yep read them all :) also have used the pressure relief sender on a type 3 (squareback) and the dipstick one in a type 2 with dipstick sender being the more accurate.... What i wondered about using the dipstick sender into the oil filler hole (inside) and not the dipstick hole :?

Read just about every bit of information on the subject.....Just wondering ...Seen a VDO temp sender M10x1 fitment, so could this go in the block where the oil pressure sender goes (using the T piece) would this give a good temp reading? ...or, while im on the subject. How about a dipstick sender do...

Checked windscreen, wiper arms, washers...had dash pod off, no sing of leaks, felt all round, behind etc and no sign of fluid leaks.....the bottom of the servo/pedel assembly where the 2 bolts are, above the brake pipe was soaking (condensation) ...and hasn't been driven..still restoring!!

Brake servo and condensation

Seem to be getting alot of condensation on the bottom of the servo/brake assembly...Thought it was brake fluid to start with, but not always there..anyone else have his problem? any ideas?
