Hi,

Thanks for the offer - At the moment the roof (bay) is a possibility so if i go down that road i will give you a bell.

How much would it be for the autosleeper roof without the swap ?

Cheers, Thats what im thinking, with it not bieng made for the t25 it might also look a bit odd sat there too. Might have to look into it more. I got two choices really now, either put a poptop on the van or look into a donor roof to make it back to a tintop. When i first got the van the hightop was...

the hightop on my t25 is a yorkshire conversions one, never had a name i dont think but it is the larger of the two offered.

The openening in the van roof is from the back of the front cab seats to pretty much the back of the van.

The possible poptop is a devon i think, off a T2 Bay

Poptup fitting for a t25

Bit of a longshot but i have the option of a poptop off a bay, my gut reaction is they wont fit - Im wondering if anyone knows if they can be adapted to fit or is the profile of the t2 way to different to a t25 on top ? (at the moment there is a hightop on) Im thinking maybe if the poptop roof could...

Anyone know where i can get replacement copper ? washers for the connector point where the fuel line comes into the fuel pump on a 1.6d ? its the clear pipe side. I noticed there was some hissing when the engine was turned off, so i took the pipe off etc and refitted the hose, but the washer was pre...

Topic: checking cranking speed/rpm on a diesel

cheers, the article i was reading said to check for a cranking speed of 150rpm, and had some kind of special vw tool i think that was a TDC sensor i think- which i guess is like the optical rev counter mentioned. I guess 150rpm will be way to low to check on the alternator then ? Cheers for the replys

checking cranking speed/rpm on a diesel

Hi is it possible to check the cranking speed of a starter using a normal autotester/voltmeter- if so - how do you connect it up ?, mine have a rpm/tach setting on it but i get the feeling its not possible on a diesel ? Just trying to check if my starter is up to scratch.

I replaced a CV on my van not so long back and the problem sounds similar to what i had, knocking when under load and especially on left. I waggled the shafts back and forward (i think this just spreads the grease around)and it went away for maybe 3 days but then came back with a vengance so i check...

thanks for the reply, just got some tests planned to try and sort out the smoke / starting problem.

Going to do a compression check if its possible - and i thought while i was at it if it was simple enough i could clean the injectors and see if that helped in any way.
