Re: Highlands & islands
That's me just finished getting the van packed, for a week's camping. Hoping to head over to Skye and see where we get to after that. I'll post up some pics, wish we could head over to Harris but we only have a week and I'd prefer to take my time. Thanks for the sleepy spot gps's on Skye, I'll give ...

Re: scotland
And you have just realised this?
Everything you say is true but keep it to yourself, we don't want people flocking up here to see what its all about!
I'm heading to the Lakes this weekend....where's me passport?

Re: Norway tips and pics
Apparently you can do Hull-Brevik now with DFDS. I've not used this service, just spotted it on another forum a while back and mentally filed it away... http://www.adventurebikerider.com/media/kunena/attachments/1855/Ahoy%20There%20Details%20Norway%202011.doc" onclick="window.open(this.hr...

Re: Norway tips and pics
Harwich - Esbjerg is now the only ferry route to take tourist-type vehicles to Scandinavia from the UK. You could then do Hirtshals to Kristiansand to get to Norway. Usual story though - big cost = big time saving. (This year and in 2008 we whizzed thro the Chunnel and crossed from Denmark to Swede...

Re: Oil in Air filter box
Thanks for the help guys. It makes sense now, I had a garage give it a winter service and he changed the oil filter and oil as part of it. I then gave it to a friend to check over for the MOT and he spotted a smal oil leak. He found the previous guy and used the wrong oil and over-filled it. SO that...

Oil in Air filter box
Just getting all the little jobs sorted before we head back to Europe for our holidays, on Wednesday. After reading Tony's thread about the Air filter I decided to have a gander at mine. I found it very dirty and Oil in the pipe from the Carb and resting at the bottom of the filter box, in a little ...

Re: Not many short shifter kits left
Ditto what Gunslinger said, although I'm still in the tweaking stage.........I should have made a better job in marking the plate
I have all gears fine, my knuckles are starting to heal but its just a little tight going from 5th down. I'm sure I'll get used to it.
Many thanks SI, top bloke!

Top notch read mate, my wife fancy's going to Venice, so you have done our recon work for us!! Cheers
Come on show us those piccies.....
Seems you save an awful lot of mileage going via ferry. Just too expensive for my liking. I'd rather drive to Dover and save the cash

Re: Low volume hot water solution
Just installed a new way of getting hot water on tap :D It is a 3 litre pump pot, bought from a catering supplier, mounted on B pillar above sink. Fill it up with hot water before you leave home, and it's good for the first night's coffee, morning wash and breakfast. If you are in a campsite, top i...
