Re: Tailgate wiring gromit
Heya Shinnster, I’ve not videoed it Im afraid but it’s fairly straight forward. A decent crimping tool and something to get the spade terminal out of the connectors teally help. As you I pulled the old stuff out i used electrical tape to attach some string so I could feed it back the same route. The...

Re: Tailgate wiring gromit
AFAIK the wiring goes in the left grommet and only the washer pipe in the right. Done it! Thanks for the tip. I was too zoomed in to think of that. Extra cable on the way to route the wiper power the other way. And a new wiper motor. The old one appear to be completely seized. The rear demister is ...

The old wiper wiring I have replaced certainly my went through with the washer pipe. Bit of a pain as I’ve not got enough cable of the right colours to make the longer run...

Tailgate wiring grommet
How do people get the wiring from it for the washer hose and wiper wiring to seat in properly? I’ve been at it on and off all day. Swearing cajoling. A range of tools. Asking it if it wants to talk about its feelings. Nothing. The de mister side is done. Easy peasy. The other one. F@%* no. Tips welc...

Headlight relay upgrade
I’ve built up a relay setup for the headlights as shown here. It also includes a headlight buzzer using relay 292. I used a spare fuse box to build it on. When I install it in the van I will extract the main and dipped beam leads from pins A21 and B22 and put a double connector onto them that goes i...

Amazing work thank you for keeping the updates coming.
Clicking back to the beginning of the thread, I wondered if there is anything you would do differently having no doubt learned a lot along the way?

Mine was the same when I got it. Used it as a daily and have to parallel park. My sweaty mitts soon cleaned it all up.

Re: How far do you need to drive to check fridge on car battery power?
Hiya Hugh, They’re simple beasts really. They need heat to drive the circulation of the coolant. In reality running it on gas will be the most common use of it unless you always camp with electrical hookups in which case the 240v will be your friend. I tend to put some freezer blocks into it when I ...

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
Here are a couple of pictures. I thought I’d do the roof first as an exploration then work around the van section by section. Took in total around 25 hours with prep and paint to do it. I ummed and ahhed about filling the dents in the cross bits of the roof that you can see… Figured they’re hardly g...
